I went to the gun show today at the Palm Beach County fair grounds. It was packed as usual. That's becasue it's one of the largest shows in Florida.

I picked up a BNIB CM9 for $399 out the door. I also got a pocket holster and an 8 round mag for a reload. All in all I think I did pretty good for $458.

Here is a comparision of the size difference between the LCP & CM9.

LCP on top of CM9.

In the pocket holsters.

Thanks!

I don't follow any sports, but my nephew is a Gator.

I will be taking it and the LCP to the range next week to shoot them side by side. I will be shooting the CM9 more because I want to put at least 300 rounds through it.

I like it when one compares a 380 to a 9mm, but they also in all fairness should show the 380 round nextto the 9mm round. Its all about firepower. Just sayin

I did almost the same thing. I bought a used CM9 and sold my Taurus TCP. So far I am very happy with the transition. The CM9 is in a DeSantis "The Nemesis" holster in my pocket as I type.

I will still be keeping the LCP. The CM9 will be replacing it as far ar EDC, but I will not be getting rid of it.

I believe that to be very wise.

Not to mention they should show the width of the guns, side by side.

I'm not fond of the 380 either, but my son gave me an LCP for Christmas three years ago, so I have to keep it. Right now, not counting my car gun or packed away service Browning, I have one 380, one 9mm, two 40's, and ten 45's. I pretty well run the gamit of brands with 3 Kahrs, 3 HK's, 2 SIG's, 1 S&W, 1 Ruger, 1 Springfield, 1 Kimber, 1 Detonics, and a HighPoint [carbine].

Funny I started out with a CM9 and ended up with a Shield.

What didn't you like about the Shield?

I really liked my CM9 as a pocket weapon.

I pocket my Shield which takes getting us to the added weight.

I would love to see a 9 mm in a striker fire the quality, reliability, size and weight of the Sig 938

Dirty Harry, As I said on your other thread..... You'll feel the weight difference of that CM vs the LCP in your pocket. Just kidding with you dude.... Peace. But seriously, the 380 is more comfortable to pocket carry, and the CM/PM carries nicer IWB....for me that is. Totally different cals and creatures (not fruit) to carry. Hope you enjoy and have good luck with the guns. Good to have them both on hand for different occasions.

I don't like to carry IWB. It's to uncomfortable. I have to pocket carry at work because it's against company policy to carry. I'm moving a lot and can't chance to gun being seen. When not at work I carry OWB. Usually one of my glocks that's larger and has a higher capacity.

Me too. Bought a Kel-Tec P3-AT about a month ago and it shoots great, no problems thru 200 rounds but I just got a CM9 last weekend and it's great, perfect EDC for me. I'm totally hooked (Well, I've had a P9 covert for over a decade).

But, I'm starting to think about a CM40. Am I crazy or what???????

Good move there a very good Pistol. I would not get rid of the LCP either for the same reason I never got rid of my P3at. There are sometimes when it's just the better choice for when You need to deep CC or just need a lighter gun to carry.

I am definitely keeping the LCP. I like it too much to get rid of it.

Very nice. Great move for sure, lcps sights and trigger suck. Thanks for the pics.

Good job. I picked up an LCP in addition to my CM40 because while the CM40 is small for what it is, the LCP is a good bit smaller and lighter weight. I'd much rather have a .40 than a .380, but there are times when even the small CM40 is a bit too much and that's where the LCP chimes in.

I agree, my PM9 is just about the perfect CCW, however there will be times my LCP will win out.

Weight and size was a little problem for me I know not much difference between a shield and cm9 after I bought the shield I thought why didn't I just buy the M&P 9 sub compact? Also the kahr felt better in my hand then the shield

Plus after shooting both I found I shoot the cm9 better then the shield

The LCP is just so easy to carry and conceals so well.

I agree. There are times I feel the same way about my wife's Bodyguard380 vs my PM40....but it really depends on the weather and clothing I have on at that time. The little 380 makes a very nice pocket gun in comparison. Please....I'm not bashing either one of these fine guns....love them both. Seems like summer I carry the 380 more and the other 3 seasons, the PM is with me. I've actually used the 380 once. I got in my wife's tree (5X5'box) stand, closed the door and found myself in it with 2 coons. They were as shocked and trapped as I was. One tried to bite my leg and I kicked it back and drew the 380. 3 shots....2 well placed hits and 2 dead coons. That little 380 did the job amazingly well on the coons and I have much more confidence in it now. My hands were shaking all the way home that day.

When cornered they can be very ferocious. You're lucky that you didn't get bitten.

I have a CM9 and a PM9 but I still ended up getting an LCP. The CM/PM9 are considerably heavier and thicker than an LCP. I can see a Kahr P380 as a replacement for an LCP.
