A few weeks ago, my P380 started experiencing some problems FTRB. Based on advice here, I e-mailed Jay and expected to possibly receive new recoil springs to address the problem.
To my surprise, Jay sent me a pre-paid Fed-Ex shipping label to send it back to the factory. They received my P380 on 08/16/13.
Does Kahr or Fed-Ex send an e-mail when they return your gun from service? I have noticed most seem to get their guns back in a couple of weeks. Should I call and check the status?

Historically the gun just shows up.
It does no harm to call or email and inquire to your guns status.
The one time I had to send a gun back it got lost in the system. Actually it wasn't lost, she logged it in as a PD gun, when I inquired I used my name.
Took her awhile to connect the dots.

Thanks. I just hate to think of my gun sitting in a box on the front porch if I'm not home.

I don't know about Kahr policy, but the guns I've had returned to me from factory service (as well as the XDs I hope to get back from Springfield soon) required adult signature for delivery per FedEx and UPS

No doubt it will be adult signature which is a pain in the backside if your not there to receive it and have to go get it or schedule a redelivery.

I thought that might be the case. Yes, kind of a pain, but that will make me feel better. I would hate to have it stolen from my porch.

it's my understanding in the current XDs recall/return that FedEx will make three attempts to deliver (I guess the truck driver keeps the package on the truck for three days) then leaves a notice that you have only a couple of days to go to the FedEx center and pick it up. That's a pita to me, but if you know ahead of time the proposed delivery date plans can be made appropriately.
