My cousin picked this stuff up for me. Is it any good? I heard it is Russian. I did a quick net chk and the reports are some good some bad. Not sure if the Kahr P40 will like it.

Has anyone shot the brass cased stuff?

Pic of what he(I) bought:

Look on the box. The last Herters I got... several calibers... was made by Fiocchi in Ozark, MO. Not true in all cases, but Herters, Fiocchi and MFS were all made there... good ammo. Sometimes they even used the Fiocchi headstamped cases... brass, anyhow.

I posted some pix of the flashes with my Mag-na-ported P40. Here is the MFS/Fiocchi made in Ozark, MO. I had no problems with any of it... .380, 9mm, .40, or .45.

I buy the best priced stuff... usually brass, but NO steel. I've only used Blazer aluminum so far... besides brass.

I was calling that stuff MFS/Fiocchi, but it was in Herters boxes. I know it was US-made.

Love that pic

My latest trip to the range was to test my 10/22 with a new improved trigger and also the linear compensator, but alas, the best I could do was a really faint puff of smoke using Stingers. I'll have to try that combo... Stingers and the compensator on my 22/45. I know there's still some burning powder and flash from the shorter barrel... and noise! There was a big difference when I went from standard to Stingers in the pistol... much more noise and plenty of flash.

I was using TandemKross' new compensator with the pistol and that sure helped with the additional recoil.:D

I only thought they made aluminum cases....

I haven't tried anything from Herters/MFS/Fiocchi but the brass-cased stuff... made in Ozark, MO. I used to find that the headstamps matched the brand on the box, but then got Fiocchi-stamped brass in the last boxes of Herters/MFS that I bought.

I know they have aluminum-cased and I have no experience with that. I like Blazer Aluminum-cased ammo. The steel-cased stuff is made in Europe by someone like Wolf or another big company.
