If it were me I wouldn't use on the frame, especially if it is Plastic.

noproblem,u can spray it on the polymer with no fear.I have been using it alongwith hundreds on this forum for years. It willnot effectplastic. If it says non cholorinated which today all spray cleaners are that way (epa sh!t). ur safe..
keep allspray cleaners,be they gun spray cleaners or what ever OFF OF WOOD GRIPS.. common sense here should prevail.

I appreciate you experience jocko, and others. A plastics guru questioned that when we were talking of it so rather than take a chance I bought a cleaner. Said he had a customer come in with a damaged frame. Now WHO knows what he really used.
I know if you have emblems or such on the frame in time they will come off.

what ever, ur choice no doubt. What do u think gunscrubber is.or other gunsprays. ??? Sales stuff that cost 3Xmore ,but nothing more .Most even say on the spray cans to keep away from wood. IMO ur plastic guru is not correct in this case... It is just not my experience here that I am attesting to either. Many many memvbers here use most of these over the counter spray cleaners,no matter what title is on the can and report zero issues with polymer. My hoppes #9 I have gotten on my wood grips on my J frame some years back and it ate the finish right off...Most spra cleaners that one buys over the counter clean objects, they normally don't eat themor meltthem. Hi tech industrial cleaners that is not obtainable over the counter might be totally different... Just sayin

If you get the brake cleaner on your sights it may remove the white bar and dot. Other than that you should be good to go.

I'm a plastic guru, so I know even that the non-chlorinated WallyWorld brand brake cleaner is safe to use. I haven't seen any chlorinated there either

I hear that using non chlorinated brake cleaner on firearms has a detrimental effect on typing skills and makes yer dick smaller. Let's be careful out there.
