That stinks to high heaven. But as Hillary said, "What does it matter now?" Same chit, different day.

Is anybody really surprised. When something like this happens they have a meeting to decide who is going to be the hero. Afterward they meet to decide how to politically capitalize on the emergency. During the piracy thing a few years ago, Ovomit wouldn't let the Seals in to stop it. He wanted the FBI to get the credit. When they couldn't handle it after a couple of days, the Seals went in and did it a couple of hours. Surprise, surprise!

That showed up on a couple of sites yesterday, so it is being covered some, but not by CNN, FOX, MSLSD, or the major Networks. And then one CNN idiot was calling the shotgun an AR15 Shotgun.
Another idiot sounds off. A KU (Kansas) journalism professor says that NRA members should have children murdered over the DC shooting. KU is the gathering spot of the states liberals. It's great fun to watch K-State (the much more conservative school) spank them in football most years. Basketball season isn't so much fun.

I don't normally watch Jon Stewart, but his take on the news coverage was pretty comical:

The Tman,
We Missouri Tiger fans never capitalize ku. I hate ku with ever fiber of my being. I stopped a gal the other day who had a bumper sticker which read, "Lawrence, 27 square miles of sanity surrounded by Kansas." I was laughing because that liberal obviously had it backwards.
Where are you in KS? I'm in Olathe - Johnson County.

My Dad was Mizzou Class of 1933.
I still have his cap.
Can't believe my stumbling Texas Longhorns darn near lost to KU last season. Probably will next month. :(

I'm down near Wichita, with one proud graduate of WSU, one from K-State, and my baby is currently a sophomore are K-State. The 2 K-Staters are Engineering majors, the grad got his in Chemical Engineering, and the younger was thinking about genetical engineering, but I told her I had some qualms about people messing with genes and DNA and stuff, so she is reconsidering, and just taking the core classes for now.
It's not Basketball season so I don't think Texas has anything to worry about from Kansas. I'd be a little more worried about this weekend with K-State, but they are having a rebuilding year too.
I always enjoyed the Kansas teams and Mizzou matchups, I was sad to see them leave the Big12.
I have a lot of fun with my brothers, one had a daughter graduate KU, and the other roots for them in basketball. I don't "hate" any school, I dislike a few quite a bit, KU being one. But I'll still root for a Kansas team over an out of state team even if I'm not that fond of them. I agree about the bumper sticker, that is bass-ackwards isn't it. More like 27 square mile of liberal lunacy surrounded by Normal, Down to Earth People. We have about as many OU and Nebraska fans around here, as we do fans of the in-state colleges. Don't see many Mizzou fans down this way though.

About the Texas-KSU game this weekend....
The Texas sports board I post a lot on has a motto for this week:
Be gentle KSU, we'll try to relax and enjoy it.

Apparently from the article it hasn't been determined if the allegation is true, or why the stand down order was issued, if it was. Too early to get excited.

Texas is definitely not in a good place right now, but I don't think you have to worry about ku.

I have a lot of K-State friends and much respect for K-State. I can even admit I have a few ku friends, but no respect for that cesspool of a school. I miss the rivalries of the old Big 8, but I am so happy to be in the SEC. Sounds like you have raised some really great children.
