Just getting people's opinion about what holster they use and comfort level. Just picked up a kahr CM9, came with a Desantis Nemisis, which I have heard works great for pocket carry, but I am not a very big guy so my pockets are not that big, especially in Jeans. I have been using it as an IWB holster at the moment until I pick something else up. Ordered a PJ Holster but its going to be a while until I get that one as well. I was looking into a Winthrop Leather holster, looks pretty comfortable, and without spending $150 on a Milt Sparks and waiting a year to get.
So shoot your opinions and experiences would be awesome!

Jeez, why spend $150? WoW. I'd recommend the Remora leather lined. Remora has been around. Inexpensive, comfortable as they come, wear like iron, stay put where you put it, lifetime warranty, no clips, good people that treat you right. It will be in stock and shipped promptly. The leather lined is a fairly new product that really looks good. Check them out before you buy. I've used Remora for daily carry for yrs and love it.

I second the Remora suggestion. I have one for every pistol of mine. They're high quality, inexpensive, and work great for both IWB and pocket carry.
I also have come to love Foxx hybrid holsters. Excellent kydex/leather option. I have both the double clip for my Glock 23, and single clip for my CM40.....couldn't be happier.

I need to pick up a pocket holster for my CM9. I don't like this Uncle Mike's size 3 because its too hard to pull from the pocket. Pocket holsters work great in cargo shorts, but yea, I'm right there with you in jeans. Need something inside the waist. I have an Old Faithful I really like, and a Desantis dual for appendix carry. I think a Desantis Soft Tuck would work better in that role.

I do like the features of a hybrid holster, but my experience with those as of now, it they are a bit noisy. They always seem to squeak when I walk, though I have not tried all of them out there. Didnt know about the Remora with leather lining, I will have to check it out, they are having a sale right now so I might do that.
But the winthrop holster, and Desantis cozy partner I am looking at hard.

I had a PM9 for a long time and got a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder IWB (http://www.giholsters.com/silent-thunder-iwb/). It was the most comfortable holster I ever had. I had it trough large and thin and it concealed very well all the time. It is tuckable which I did now and then and it wasn't noticeable. I only didn't tuck all the time because I wear suspenders and my wife "prefers" I hide them.
It is a soft leather lined kydex shell which doesn't mar you gun like kydex. Over a lot of use it will eventually show wear the same as a leather holster does. It has a single belt clip which is plenty for a small gun and is so quick to put on take off I called it my grab and go holster.

PJ holsters are great, but I didn't want the long wait and bought this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kahr-CM9-IWB-Kydex-Holster-/171134432359?pt=US_Holsters&var=&hash=item27d8683467
It's identicle to the PJ and you can get it in a few days. I love this combination, put it on in a snap, and forget it's there. I've even worn it outside my pants as a OWB holster.

I just picked up a cm9 for carry and I love the way it shoots. For right now I front pocket carry with a de santis super fly. The rubberized coating keeps it in my pocket when I draw. I am a big guy and finding iwb is not the most comfortable. I am waiting on a fobus roto paddle I have one for my springfield xdm 3.8 and I love it. When I get it and have a few days to try it out I will post agin.

Buckshotshorty- I was eyeing that one as well, but already placed my order with PJ Holsters. I heard a lot of good things about it so I wanted to give it a try. 10 week wait though unfortunately. What degree cant did you get? I went ahead and got a 30 degree cant after watching faliaphotography review on youtube.

I have tried a ton of them but the below one is my IWB go to and is great deal. I have the butt forward one and it is very comfortable and easy to conceal. The clip is metal and it does not move around on my belt at all. The offset clip also keeps it thin.

I've tried most of the popular ones mentioned and by far the best for me is the N82 pro version holster.I love it and don't know why I waited so long to try one.

I'm really not sure of the cant, but I think it's 15 degrees. I cancelled my order with PJ because at the time it was a twelve week wait and after about 6 weeks I grew impatient and bought the Cooks.
I do have a PJ for my G36 and I can tell you with certainty the Cooks is identical.
Another fantastic holster I bought for my Sig 938 is from Panther Concealment. FBI can't:

This is a little off-topic, but your comment about Milt Sparks holsters got me thinking. Like you, I thought why would anyone pay $150 and wait 6 months for a holster. Then, I had the opportunity to actually see and handle one.
I've owned Alessi, Bianchi, GALCOs, Ross, Don Hume, DeSantis, etc. They are all good and entirely functional. The Milt Sparks holster is an extra special work of art. The problem is that they are so beautiful, that one doesn't want to use them for fear of getting them marred or scratched. It is similar to shooters that want a 357 magnum. You can buy an entirely functional and well made Ruger or you can spend a fortune on a Colt Python. Both do the job as intended, but the Python has that extra bit of refinement and panache. Is that something special worth it to you? Only you can decide, but it's nice to have a choice. Milt Sparks holsters are like that. You have to see one in person to truly appreciate their craftsmanship and quality. They are amazing.

^^^That makes complete sense to me, and I have not heard on person say anything bad about Milt sparks holsters. I would love to try one out one day and see how it is, but that day will wait until money isnt really an issue and I can spend it on a holster. For not I will be doing my best to get the best out of my money and I am ok with it. Looking forward to getting my Winthrop holster and seeing how comfortable it is.
Thanks for the reply.

I'll third the two comments above about Remora.
Can't go wrong for the price. Would be the perfect solution until your PJ arrives. I'm tellin' ya', it's gotta be the most comfortable holster out there and it works. Only thing I'd try otherwise is the PJ you already ordered. I've had Comp-Tac, Desantis, Garrett Silent Thunder, N82...and I have to say I wouldn't trade back from Remora to any of those. They've all been sold, still carrying in a Remora anytime I carry.
I've always carried IWB, but next up for me is a couple of Old Faithful OWB models for my TP9 and my CZ P-01. Need something for IDPA and I find myself more and more wanting to have an OWB option handy.

Thanks for the comment. The gun came with a desantis nemesis when I bought it, so I have been wearing that IWB since I mostly wear jeans and pocket carry doesnt work that great. Though I imagine a remora would be better. I find the desantis does move around a bit. On your remora did you get the reinforced top? A sweatshield?

I'll just say the Remora won't move on you one itty bitty bit. It stays where you put it. I move, bend, walk, sit, stand w/ mine. It never ever moves.
I personally opted for a reinforced top, no sweat shield. I got the Remora 3C which is also a more 'cut away' model to allow access for a full grip on the pistol. The 3C is actually made for the P/CW series, but I carry my TP in it and get even MORE grip over what Remora recommends for a 4" pistol. I still get full trigger coverage as well, no worries there. I believe there is a 3B for the CM/PM series.
Just for comparison, regarding movement and how well a Remora works...for my CZ P-01 and a previous Sig P250C, both 25oz+ guns, I actually got the ART RFT #10 model to try out. Not a minutes trouble carrying either of those larger guns in a Remora.
The ART option is the articulated (cut away) top, so again, you get a full grip on the pistol. RFT is reinforced. The reinforced in my opinion is ONLY necessary if you plan to train heavily w/ your carry gun. It's really handy for re-holstering. Otherwise, just get the non-RFT, it's probably way more comfortable.
Never considered a sweat shield, I always carry w/ a t-shirt between me and the pistol.
I'm planning to order a couple more Remoras (leather lined, no RFT) for carry and keep my RFT models for IDPA and range practice.

Oh yea, IMO a Remora is a royal PIA for pocket carry. Too sticky. If you are gonna pocket carry, stick w/ something like your DeSantis. I had one of those for my PM before I sold it, it worked just fine for that purpose. The Remoras are just too hard to get positioned easily in a pocket because they start sticking as soon as you start pushing them down into the pocket. I only carry the Remora IWB.

Yea, but regardless of what your favorite might be, that slicker than snot green color you have is BEGGIN' for leather. One, keep that finish looking good. Two, is just NEEDS leather. It's not how you feel, its how you look...and you look MAAAAHVELOUS. Those are some good looking firearms you've got. But I digress...

We'll I got my fobus roto paddle holster in Mail Friday. I got a chance to wear it over the weekend and it was not to bad. The holster it's self is a little to universal made for 1911s browning high power and some how a kahr pm9. The trigger guard on the kahr is a bit thick. I have to screw the retention screw all the way out to be able to remove the gun from the holster. This may change after some break in. With the roto option it is nice making it possible to can't the gun farther forward to help conceal it. Over it makes an ok owb holster

How thick is the Remora? I'm wondering how much bulk it adds over something like a Crossbreed.
How much trouble is it to reholster your gun into the Remora? Does it stay open like a Kydex holster?

I do not know what model you are looking at. Nor do I know much about the Crossbreed dimensions. I purchased the standard model without the sweat shield. My son-in-law got the sweat shield and took it back because he did not like it, but I do not know why. The sweat shield adds to the thickness as I understand it, but I have never tried one, so I do not know how much it adds, nor how it holsters.
The standard, non sweat shield model I purchased for my PM40 about 1 1/8" thick total with the gun in it. Crude measurement with a tape. It appears to me that it adds a little over 1/8" to the gun width. Feels like all padding. I can holster with it under my belt just fine. It stays put. I would not say it is stiff like a Kydex holster and is therefore not as easy to reholster as a kydex would be. It is very pliable and soft like a rubberized material. It has a band sewed over the opening which helps it retain it's shape at the opening somewhat. However, I still need to use my left hand to guide it open when the holster is in my waistband. Remora's standard version conforms to the gun. The gun draws very nicely from it, which is more important to me than holstering for everyday conceal carry. However, I would not want to use the Remora on the range. Remora is not as nice to do range work with as an OWB leather or kydex when you are repeatedly holstering and drawing. Just my opinion. If you are not happy with your Remora because you need something to reholster constantly, simply send it back. Perhaps the leather lined model is a better fit for you. Just let the folks at Remora know what you are looking for it to accomplish and they will guide you to the correct model. They are good people to work with.

Thanks for the input, garyb. That helps. I have been considering the Crossbreed MiniTuck for my CM40 and a Crossbreed SuperTuck Deluxe for my Glock 23. But I decided to check this forum for information on holsters before ordering, and I saw the discussion of Remora. The tuckable Remora looks pretty interesting, but I wish they offered a tuckable magazine carrier as well.
Does anyone have experience with both the Remora and the Crossbreed MiniTuck or SuperTuck? I need serious, tuckable concealment with the CM40 and preferably with the Glock 23 as well. I also want something that reholsters readily. I prefer to practice with the same holster I use for carry.

Before you decide on the basis of what I told you, I'd suggest you give Remora a call and tell them your needs. That new leather lined holster they recently came out with, may just fit the bill for you. At least pose your issues to them. The price is right and I have a feeling they have something that allows you to reholster readily. They are very helpful. Good luck.

OP - I'm a slim guy too so I know what you mean about pocket carry in jeans. I can't do that either.
For my CM 9, I'm using a Blackhawk Check Six. It puts the pistol behind my hip, with the grip pointed up. It's outside the waist band so you don't need to redo your wardrobe. Just wear an untucked shirt or a cover garment and no one will notice.

Noticed most or all of the discussion is centered on IWB though title asked for most comfortable. Me that would be a Don Hume H721 O.T. pancake, rides close and high and easy to conceal if your shirt isn't tucked. It's the only holster that let's me forget it's there.

OWB is still very attractive to me, as I would think its the most comfortable form of carry, but not the easiest to conceal. I do appreciate those suggestions as well. Might go on my Christmas list this year is a nice owb holster. Probably would be perfect for winter especially since I can wear a cover garment over a t-shirt. My wife likes for me to wear more fitted clothing so its hard sometimes for concealment. I currently have a remora, a PJ Holster on order, and a winthrop holster on order. I do need to get a nice owb holster to try out next.
Thanks for all the suggestion and talk, helps me a lot.

I will add my praise for Panther Concealment holsters. Ordered an OWB and it is exactly what I was looking for. The design of the holster is well thought out. It rides high and with the CM9 holstered. I like that it does not entirely cover the upper portion of the frame-makes it very easy to draw quickly. Retention is good and adjustable and the belt attachment is curved to fit the curve of the body. Although I did not buy it for concealment in mind, the holstered weapon is easily concealed with a fleece or sweatshirt. Excellent work and I will most likely add the IWB discussed above.

I posted on another thread that I'm lovin my N82 Tactical Pro holster. YMMV as some others have indicated that they didn't like the retention release method, but I don't have an issue with it. I spent two 12 hour days driving to Florida carrying the CM9, carried the CM9 concealed under a tucked in T-shirt and then drove back home for two 12 hour days still carrying the CM9 in the N82 holster. It was more comfortable than the leather OWB holster that I have for it.

Been through a ton of holsters and here's my personal preferences so far…
IWB: Foxx Trapp (Cheap, light, conceals easily, easy on/off)
OWB: Galco M7X Matrix (cheap, minimalist, easy on/off with the snap on belt loops)
Pocket: Blackhawk #3 (cheap)
I don't ever see a need for a different holster for IWB or OWB, but I'm still looking for the perfect pocket holster. The Blackhawk is a little hard to draw from the pocket and makes it look like I'm carrying a small pillow.

Chris1) Holsters are totally 100% PERSONAL
2) Most people have a box full of holsters
3) I have a Nemesis holster and occasionally pocket carry, but it is my LAST CHOICE. However it is nice to have the option; with a relatively small CM/PM9 we at least have the option. However in my opinion the CM9/PM9 is almost too big for pocket, it's at the upper end. True mouse guns, 380 ACP, 32's are more suited for pocket carry. Access to gun in the pocket is pretty poor if being attacked.... but it is better than nothing, locked up at home when you need it.
4) My #1 wear a leather pancake holster that goes through belt loops on my right side. It is secure and easy to access, but requires an un-tucked shirt or jacket. I DO NOT LIKE CLIP ON BELT HOLDERS... NOT SECURE. Leather holsters with two belt loops are secure and pulled tight against your body.
5) There are so many holsters it is not funny, but where do cops carry their guns? On their hip.... may be a back up on their ankle.
6) I have tried shoulder holsters, too weird, not practical for me. HOWEVER I have a "gun vest". It looks like a fishing vest, has a breast pocket for the gun with elastic bands or Velcro to hold it. I must admit after wearing it for hours, I can feel it in the left shoulder (gun in left breast pocket for cross draw with right hand). Some one who I respect and knows their stuff, does not like having to reach across to get at your gun in a self defense situation. Imagine someone on top of you beating you.... you can't get at it. However the VEST is a nice option sometimes.
So I have three options I go to, Hip Holster, Vest and Pocket Carry in that order. I use all of them for different times.....

I've been EDC'ing the High Noon Mr. Softy holster AIWB with great success. I forget the CM9 is even there. Though not good for re-holstering, it's a great option for deep concealment. I believe next I'm going to purchase a Kydex IWB from PJ Holsters.

Jollyrogers, I can still obtain a good purchase when drawing the weapon so it's not TOO low...I'd say it's as low as you would want to go though for sure...it's so easy to conceal and a very comfortable, soft leather. It was very affordable and the clip is VERY strong. I don't have any pics currently but can try to upload one at some point soon.

it does ride low, though with practice I've learned to draw the CM9 fairly quickly. Cheers.

My favorite IWB holsters:

Concealment Solutions Micro Mamba CE:

For OWB:
DeSantis Mini Slide:

I've only had the DeSantis for a little while but I'm REALLY liking it. Sits high enough and tight to the body, very comfortable. Conceals very well under just an untucked t-shirt for me.

The all-kydex PJ Holster rides that low, too. It's very comfy, as well, adding very little additional thickness. But the Mr. Softy is cheaper than the PJ.

Been using a 3speed holster for my cm9 for some time now. Super comfy, totally invisible. Some dont like that its a soft holster, others dont like how low it can ride, but you can set it where you like and its fine.
I also just got an MDJ hybrid. I ordered the IWB with adjustable retention as well as the OWB leather to have both options. The IWB is for 3-4 oclock but I trimmed the leather and one of the clips so its basically identical to their appendix model. I also have the appendix model for my G27.

High Noon Centerfold...............If you go to their website, you can see how and where they ride on the body.

I had a PM9 for a long time and got a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder IWB (http://www.giholsters.com/silent-thunder-iwb/). It was the most comfortable holster I ever had.
I second the Silent Thunder. I have one for my 1911s and it is a great holster and Garrett Industries is first rate as well

I use a Cook's holsters Kydek appendix carry holster. Very thin and can wear all day without even knowing I have it on.It is also tuckable if you want to tuck your shirt in and does not print at all.

a while back I picked up a returned "open box" holster at a gun shop. It was a beretta nano desantis mini scabbard. I paid ten bucks for it because I thought the shape/print matched the kahr pistols and the strapping looked to be good thick and rigid. Worked very well for a long time, and when I went into the shop about a year later I picked up the PM9 mini scabbard.
I still prefer this cheap holster over much of what Ive seen out there. Mainly as i said because the strapping used to secure it to the belt is great. Ive got probably about 3 or 4 holsters that like to flop out and over, I could never get comfortable carrying like that.
