I changed out the recoil spring on a used K9 with a std Wolff spring. I ran two magazines of rounds thru with no problems after receiving the used kahr . I just thought I'd change the springs after reading several posts suggesting the change. I haven't used the new spring yet.
Not knowing what spring was in the used Kahr they compared as follows:
1. New std spring is 3 coils longer which measures approx. 1/2.
2. The slide was VERY hard to rack. In fact I had to switch to my stronger hand to do it. I'm sure it will get better but I was really surprised how much harder it is to move the slide.

That's the way they are..........................probably the strongest of all the Kahr's...

count the coils on theold spring. if they are the sameur good to go. Your old springhas taken its designed set and the new one will to after a few rounds down range. berettaboneis right. kahrs are strong spring guns..

That is one hell of a design set. I counted 20 coils on both springs so all is good, thanks jocko. I've racked it not more than a dozen times now and what a difference! I was having to "rack" it with both hands the first 8 or so times. That's hard to do.
Embarrassing moment, for the first time, and I was being careful, I lost the spring pin. After the third try to get in located against the barrel stop the pin shot 8 feet straight across to the white sheet rock wall and left a dent and a 2'' black mark then came back to me. At least I didn't have to get up to search for it. I don't have any trouble with the cm but that k has a longer more unmanageable length.

I should probably think about putting a new spring in my E9 ... it looks a little tired to me. I'm just curious, how long is your new Wolff spring?

ur a quick learner, only 143 posts. Just sayin. the reason I mess up some of the words is that it makes a person think a bout the sentence alot more and therefore will always remainin your mind for the restof ur life.
I would advise though to think about "shoot the fokker like u stole it" the statement in maybe a group of old women at the nursing home. Just sayin
