Bought a new unfired CM 9 from a local guy today. Even though we've owned and shot a PM 9 for years with no problems ever, some of the threads here about issues with some new CM 9s had me wondering what to expect. I disassembled it, cleaned it thoroughly, performed some of the fluff and buff activities described herein, and lubed it with Break Free CLP. I didn't have time to make it to the range today but I just couldn't stand it. I took 6 Speer 124 grain JHPs and 6 Federal 115 grain FMJs outside to see what it would do. The nearest neighbors are 200 yards away and sometimes shoot so I knew they wouldn't be disturbed by me firing a few rounds. I started with the hollow points and the pistol fed and fired all 12 rounds perfectly. I know that's not much of a test but it's a promising start. I'm excited to have my own little carry gun (been carrying a Glock 27 for years and can't pry the PM 9 out of the wifey's hands :D). Also happy to have found this forum.

If you like your CM9 half as much as I do mine you'll love it. It's concealed perfection.

I've shot Approx. 200-250 w/ my CM9, mostly RN FMJ reloads for practice,
and another 50 JHP self defense rounds.... I shoot those sparingly,
because they are too expensive. I am a fan of CCI Speer Gold Dot 124Gr
+P and/or Federal HST 124Gr +P.
Not one failure to fire or feed, and slide locks back after last round everytime.
In the past, with other pistols, I always "racked" the slide to chamber the
first round. I do not rack the CM9, as recommended and you no doubt
have read. I lock slide back, insert Mag, and chamber the first round by
slide release. Not sure if that is some secret or most do, but it's my
procedure. Since it seems to work, I'm sticking with that. It was a small
adjustment in my habits.
I agree having a small 9mm you can pocket if you wanted to, with a nice
trigger and high quality.... is nice. The Dimondback is lower cost and
quality and the Rohrbaugh R9 is too expensive. Neither of these pistols
are perfection, no pistol is. Well my Glock 26G4 is pretty perfect, but not
as concealable or comfortable as the CM9.
