Still loving my CM40. I have shot over 600 rounds with the CM40 after having smoothed over the ramp and follower problem and have not experienced any further problems. I am confident in the accuracy and reliability of this weapon for CCW and feel safe carrying the CM40.

Good deal! Enjoy it. Hope you continue to have good luck with her. How are you carrying it?

I normally carry it in my back pocket in a holster. I can easily draw the weapon out and the trigger is well protected. Most of my pants can conceal it very well. I can hardly feel the weapon even when sitting down. I carry this weapon due to its concealabilty factor and I do like the blast of the 40 caliber round.

I owned a Shield 40 before my kahr cm9 and that thing had some kick to it, I just imagine the cm40 being a lot more of a handful due to its light weight and smaller size. I am not sure I could enjoy shooting it, though I do like the 40 S&W round. I just prefer it in larger guns. Good to hear the small frame gun can handle the larger boom!

I also have a CM40 and love it. It's my EDC. I use a plain remora holster so I can pocket or IWB carry. It's the gun I shoot the most at the range. The .40 doesn't seem as prevalent as the CM9 but I like the extra thump of the .40. I put a Hogue handall jr. on mine, it fits better when you put the sleeve on upside down. It takes a bit of the kick out of it and gives me a more solid grip.

You'll quickly get used to the 40 in the PM / CM format. Once you do, the muzzle flip is very manageable and you'll be riding it through it's motions to the next shot like a pro. Some like the 45, others the 40 and others the 9. They all have their advantages and are all good cals. Get one of each. It's really a non issue. Their each a different creature. Personal preference. If you get into reloading, you can save some money and make "puffy" loads for that 40 so it feels like the smaller cals for range use and keep your SD ammo for carry. Turn that "obnoxious" 40 into a very sweet thing.
