Truthfully I was hoping to make it through the day without getting outed but thanks for the well wish's.
Jocko, I'm well versed in airing out your packages, I have a special shed under cover out back built just for that task. Sometimes it takes a while, I think you send new old stock a few times.
I sent a message to that air freshner place, you know the one where they take the dump and cat litter box and make it smell like a flower garden. Figure they could come to your place and give it a go ya know.

Happy Happy birthday "Colonel"!!!!!
I hope your day has been a great one. Your deserve it despite what Jocko says!!!!
Did He give you the title Colonel? Just curious.

The Colonel title was bestowed upon me by our honorable and much respected Admin JohnH. I think it's a southern title of honor type thing although I'm far from my childhood plantation. I don't have the power to bestow titles and that's probably a very good thing. I could get into real trouble with those kind of powers.
It does have a nice ring to it.
Glad you asked, I don't want folks to think it's anything military related. I tried to do my part but they wouldn't take me. Any of them. I think I was too mean in my formative years.
Any day you wake up breathing is a pretty great day.

Happy B-Day Bawanna!
Thought about getting you a nice Randall.
But ordered some Match trigger parts for my HK P2000 357 Sig instead.

I had a snide remark if Joko had given you the moniker. It was just a guess and probably not that funny.
Spent the evening going over safety matters, grip, stance etc. with a new shooter that's going to the range with us tomorrow.
I found the lazerlyte trainer very helpful in explaining site picture. Plus this guy has eye problems and he got to try a few things in the house dry firing where the pressure and safety issues are minimal
Anyway, that's why I didn't get back to the forum right away.

Happy Birthday! I'm asking around to see if anyone has a 686 they want to let go of for a good price. Are you looking for a 4" or 6" barrel? Hope you had so much fun today you are still smiling about it decades from now.
Bawanna
10-07-2013, 10:09 PM
4" I'm thinking but if the price is right might entertain a 6".
They aren't cheap. I got a CZ452 22 rifle calling my name too. I'm trying to use restraint on account of I think the stupid tranny is going on my van. Never ends ya know.
Happy birthday. My son turned 49 yesterday. Both of you are older than me.

The 6" actually seems a bit less expensive. I'll let you know what I find. I assume you want a no-dash to dash 4, all without the lock.
I would love a CZ 452 and have been lusting over those myself. I've been trying to decide if a Ruger American in .22lr might suffice. Not near as pretty, but for the plinking I want, it probably wouldn't make a difference. It would just not be nearly as nice when taking it out and playing with it.
At least your old enough to remember when The Beaver was just Jerry Mathers.

Happy Birthday, my friend! I almost missed it, but there's still another 24 minutes or so to go.
I've been trying to get over a really bad cold for 2 weeks now... still a few days or so to go, though.
I want to go to the range but am afraid that I would throw lead everywhere with my deep, hacking cough... especially after breathing a bit of that stuff!

I just picked up my CZ452 today. Pretty darn nice little 22. I'll try to get some pictures tonight, has a nice crisp trigger not light but very nice. Will only get better I'm sure.
Nice sights. I think it's gonna be a keeper.

Played a little more here at home and I like it quite a bit.

Nifty front sight hood with a cut out to let good light in.

I shot 5 shots out the back door before the horses went ballistic and thought I was gonna have a stampede. Guess if I get into mounted shooting I'm gonna have to train em not to fear the bang thing, along with how to lay down so I can get on and off. Had a mule years ago that would lay down, laziest son of a gun your ever did see but a darn good mule.
My son's range finder said 30 yards.
Shot 5 must of went right smack through one of the other 4 holes, only thing I can figure, no way I missed the box you reckon?
