Thats about it. Took the PM45 out of my pocket, and put a 230g FMJ round nose at 830ish fps through the tube. Yes I said tube.
It was a mercy killing.
The GF brought home a nice oaken entertainment center wall unit, spent the day re-assembling it. Took her "stereo" out of mothboalls, where its sat for 15 years, and hooked it all up. Old TV fit the space, but... not the new decor.
Screw it.
Down to Wally's I went, credit plastic resting close to my bum, and came home with a new LG big screen TV... don't ask the inches, its 48 inches wide, and fitts the opening.in the new furniture. Wassit...52 inch? No idea, got the biggest screen that fit the space provided.
Old Sony.... RIP. Five rounds of 4x.40cal round balls from the Judge put it out of its misery. Truth be told, its outer shell was crumbling - plastic disease - whereupon the shell was more brittle than a stare from Nancy Pelosi.
As it sits, I've got the HV section out in the trash at the side of the road, tube (yes, tube!) still attached. First look-see'er that takes hold of it is gonna get a rude, crude and socially unacceptable awakening.
The 4x40's stopped when they hit the terazzo floor, flattened out to the size of quarters. Yup, shot the dang thing inside, jus' because I could, then the coup de grace from the PM45 at roads edge. RIP Sony... you was great (and 36 inches of glory) when I knew ye.
