Went to the largest gun show of the year today(almost 1,000 tables). Found nothing cheap including Kahr's or Hot dogs. Only spent 3 hours and 15 there it was so bad.

I did good -- found some elusive Browning Hi Power 40 mags and got a couple of cards from guys who make custom holsters locally. One of them had a good OWB slide for my Ruger SP101. The other is gonna make me a rig for the Vaquero. Found some leather slings for $5.00. Oh yeah, got a new skeet gun. Can't let the BIL beat me again tomorrow...
There's deals out there but I admit it takes a lot of lookin'

I forgot, I did find a local business that Cerakote's slides, multiple colors, for $80. Says he's had no complaints and has done hundreds.

I like going to gun shows but the one here in Cinci area has the same dealers and same over priced guns and ammo month after month. A few months back I did find a nice used Spyderco Delica knife for 30 bucks. At the show last month there were 4 or 5 holster makers on hand but I thought most were over priced. I really like the Foxx Trapp holster I bought for my CW9 so I will stick with that.

Our shows are a club so to speak, you have to be a member to buy a firearm. You can pay admission and buy other stuff. Members get in free.
It's usually the same guys every month, often times with the same stuff but once in awhile something or sometimes many new things suddenly pop up.
We have two shows a month, one right here in town and the other about an hour away, it's a bigger show with a lot more tables and tons more stuff, I rarely make that show but never miss the in town one. Good way to spend a Sunday morning win or lose.

sme way in most small town gun shows. Only people who make any money ar ethe people whosponsor the show and rent the tables, and oh yes, CONCESSIONS
only cost $5 to get in but It has been years since I ever bought a fokkin thing, take away the no guns **** and u might have a dozen talbes with guns on them. Used to be people went to gun shows to sell their guns and dealers setr up to sell their products, but everyone thinks they have the Mona Lisa for sale. I see very few gun sales and ammo is no better. Gonna take a few more years IMO for this gun and ammo pipeline to fill up and dealers start to really DEAL. Just sayin.
I still go to them for $5, I see someol friends and gets me outta the house....

I haven't been to the local gun show since last year. Still have the same dealers ripping of folks on both firearms and ammo since all the hoopla. When I was going, I was looking more at knives than anything else and have yet to find the knife I have in my mind.
Just might have to break down and find a custom knife maker to make what I'm wanting.

I try and go whenever I can, $5 to get in, so that part an't bad. The deals are few and far between. I bought my black k9 at one 2 1/2 years ago, the price was consistant with the market so I felt good about my purchase. But sinse the ammo and gun crazyness of the past 12-14 months I have only gone to look.
