Picked up a new CM9 yesterday from my LGS. I decided to go ahead and pick it up as it was the last one they had in stock and the price was right. I have already field stripped the pistol, cleaned it, and lubed it per the instructions here. Been watching a little football and racking the slide to try and help the break in.

I'm off this week and hope to get a few rounds down the pipe. Got 100 rounds of Speer Lawmen 124 grain FMJ's and 50 rounds of some brass Tula. Looking forward to seeing how it performs.

Best of luck with your new CM9. Got a PM9 myself and carry it way more than either of my two other SD pistols.

Welcome. You are gonna love this forum - great advice and great bunch of folks.

More than that I am betting you're gonna love that CM9 even more. I have had mine for just under 2 months and I find it to be darn near perfect. Not one FTE, FTF, lock back issue...nothing. Best trigger I've shot and fits me great.

Like they said, the CM9 is a very nice pistol. Welcome to the forum.

I hope you like it as much as I like my PM9.

You picked the best carry pistol (CM or PM) and the best Kahr forum. Congrats and welcome!

Welcome --- you should love your new gun and the Speer Lawman. Kind of curious to hear how that TulAmmo runs for you. I've never seen any of that around here. Keep up posted. Good luck!

I have never seen any either. Box states it is made in Italy. I figure for $11 and some change it will at least shoot in the G17!

I found 100 round packages at Wal Mart for $22, I have not shot them yet, but I figured for the price I would give it a try.

Wow $11 is good. And any brass should run fine. I do recommend shooting the best ammo you can afford during break in. Helps minimize the chance for ammo related failures. Can you get another box or two of that 124gr Lawman?

Took the CM9 to the range yesterday and ran another 50 rounds of the Speer Lawman 124 grain FMJ's. Zero malfunctions from 100 rounds of the Lawman. I now have 50 rounds of the Tula Brass and and 50 rounds of Prvi Partizan. I have shot the Prvi Partizan quite a bit in the Glock 17 with excellent results, so I hope it will run fine in the Kahr.

I plan to run another 50 rounds this afternoon.

Decided to go ahead and shoot this morning as I need to mow this afternoon. Took the Prvi Partizan, 124 grain FMJ's and headed off to the range. Once again, 50 rounds and zero malfunctions.:biggrin1: I am very happy with this little pistol and glad I decided to give it a chance. Bought a cheap Blackhawk pocket holster this morning and found that it also is very comfy inside the pants.

Plan to pick up a spare magazine or two by the end of the week. Anyone have a preference for the flush 6 round or the 7 round magazine with extension?

Personally I would go with the flush 6 rounder myself.

Some have issues with the 7's, many don't. My thinking is it's a small concealable gun, keep it small and concealable.

6 round, follow thecolonel's advice. He knows what he speaks, course he should as he knows before what he is gonna say to. Just sayin

I'm glad you like your pistol. Mine's been nothing but great. I like your post. I'm running to my Wal-mart and looking for the Tula Brass.

I can tell you I bought the Pierce Grip extensions for my CM9, and it makes a huge difference without adding any bulk to the concealability. I carry the 6 round mag in the weapon, and the 7 round magazine as my backup.

No one has mentioned getting a re loader. It sure makes it a lot easier and faster if you have smooth office hands and fingers.
My cm9 is great and carry daily. It sounds like you're not going to have any problems with yours.....good.
Welcome

Thanks for all the replies. I could not find any 6 round magazines locally, only the 7 rounders. Wound up ordering from Ivanhoe Warehouse. Plan to shoot my last 50 rounds of "break in" ammo and test the new magazines at the same time. I truly think if problems were going to arise they would have by now.
