Just ordered one and was looking for opinions. The one I have coming is a P220 carry.

Congrats! I have a P220 (full size) Equinox with wood grips. It is easily my favorite at the range out of many. It is also my trusty nightstand buddy. I don't carry it though. Too big for me, for that purpose.

If you've laid down the money, it's a little late to be seeking opinions :D

It should be a keeper.

About 2 years ago I missed the chance at a Black Sig P220 elite with night sights, SRT trigger and beautiful wood grips, for $699 new in box. They had stopped making that combination at that time and I'm still regretting not buying it when I had the chance.

Bought a NIB 1998 stamped steel slide, factory nickel plated P220 back in the day.
Later upgraded the NS, added trigger job and SRT kit.
Then pick up a few extra barrels;
Bar-Sto 4.4" Stainless,
Storm Lake 5.10" dual ported black Isonite QPQ on stainless,
OEM Sig P220 Sport 5.47" stainless.

Sadly a sink hole swallowed it and all my other firearms.
Oh well...

I have a 1995 FS nickel P220, and it's a great pistol. I had it factory refurbished in 2010, with a complete disassembly and cleaning, all new springs, polishing, and new night sights. My only problem with it is that it's a bit large for carry. It's light [26 ozs, about the same as my FS HK polymer gun] for a full sized, all metal gun, but it is still fairly big.

I've had three and kept getting talked out of them. I have one on layaway right now and I'm going to keep this one. Superb guns, unbelievably accurate.

I hate to jinx it by saying it out loud.
But my classic Sig P220 is one of my most reliable firearms.

I find all of the all metal Sigs a bit too bulky and heavy for EDC when compared to the choices available today. But you will not find a more accurate, reliable and fun to shoot weapon anywhere and they are excellent for defending the fort. Every gun enthusiast should own at least one.

My P239 357 Sig takes issue with this statement - LOL!
The alloy frame gun is a little on the heavy side.
But that does sweet things to the felt recoil.

Well I shot the 220 Friday. Shot very good right out of the case. Put 4 mags of 8 through it one right after the other. I also like the night sights.
