Need info on the E9

I have a chance to get a E9, are they good guns? Are K series parts interchangeable?

I've only had it a couple of months but I like my E9. It's as good as my CM9 and as my MK9. I liked my MK9 so much that I decided that I wanted another all-metal Kahr that was just slightly larger. I actually went looking for a K9 but ended up buying the E9 as I'm partial to the black slide over matte frame look and I got a good deal on it. I'm not expert enough to guarantee my answer, but I'm pretty sure the E9 & K9 are interchangeable. I've read on here elsewhere that the E9 was meant to be a cheaper version of the K9. I hope this helps.

Parts should all interchange within the K and E family except the front sight. The E9 has a plastic pinned front sight. Mags, springs, grips and such all interchange. The slide is carbon steel, not stainless.

I ended up passing on the E9. Rather wait and get a K9.

I have one of each. They shoot almost identical. Not sure I am not more accurate with the E.

My E9 DOES have a stainless slide with a black carbon frame. They made two tone and reverse two tone, although I don't know what color scheme was made when. My gun is from 2004.
