BIG BILL

Hello,
I've been lurking here for a couple months and just wanted to thank everyone for all the great information that's been put together here.
I've wanted a Kahr since I first saw and held a K9 many years ago (1998?) and finally just purchased a MK9 Elite.
Back around 2002 I had gotten my carry permit, but did not really make use of it since I didn't have anything compact to carry (had a Sig 229) and I eventually let it expire. About a year ago I decided I wanted to get it renewed and have been agonizing over a gun selection for the last year.
I finally landed on the MK9. Love the solid feel, smooth trigger, not too heavy, not too light, etc. Feels like I am holding a gun, unlike a lot of compacts. I even weighed out a bunch of nickels to match the weight of a MK9, mag, & 7 rounds, taped it up and carried it in my pocket for 2 weeks to make sure I would be fine with the weight.....one benefit of being 280lbs is my pants have big pockets! LOL! MK9 fits nicely in the pocket or waistband.
Anyway, ordered my MK9 from a local gun shop and it arrived about 3 weeks ago. I also ordered replacement Kahr stainless steel guide rod, the pau ferro wood grips, and I also picked up some crimson trace grips. All of which arrived before the gun, so when the gun arrived I took over the kitchen island playing with my new toy, cleaning, lubing, and trying out all the accessories. (thanks to whomever recommended the electronics cleaner, works great and as recommended has no smell, which is how I got away with cleaning the gun in the kitchen without the wife complaining!)
I followed all the directions on this site regarding prep and lube. I took it to the range the following week and put 450 rounds flawless rounds thru it. After all of my research I was completely prepared for some hiccups, but there were none, not a singe failure. Gun performed flawlessly. I am super excited about the gun. I've got about 1000 rounds sitting in the garage calling my name and can't wait to get back out to the range.
Thanks again for all the advice that's been shared here.
