Shouldn't hurt a thing....If that little spring ever gets bent due to installing the slide stop incorrectly or if the gun sometimes fails to lock the slide back you can take a pair of needle nose pliers and tweak that spring back into place several times before you need to replace it....I worry more about stripping out the polymer taking the screw in and out rather than hurting the spring by slightly bending it..
good idea...look at pic is that normal or bend tip down a lil????

If it's working like that don't mess with it but the normal position of the spring is parallel to the frame and slide when viewed from the side....Don't be afraid to bend it some if it's causing an issue.....

NO it will not. I think more slide stop springs are bent inwards than any utter position and that is due to impropper installation of the slide stop. that area looks to many as a sensitive area, but if u take ur time that ittle spring will last forever. And as most have stated, it is bendable to correct back to where it shold be.
The photo here is excellent:amflag: I have a photographic mind, so I don'thave a camera at all.
