As you may remember, I was having problems with nosediving in the mags, some failures to feed and a few failures to lock back on the last round in the mag.
I was able to get out to the range today using some Wolff Kel-tec springs in the mags. This time I had some stovepiping, nosedives in the mag and failure to pick up the round from the mag. The slide locked open for every mag. At this point I wasn't sure if it was the mags or me. I tried to make sure I had a good grip on the gun but I still had some problems.
At this point I think I had about 250 rounds through the gun.
I tried one more thing. I put the original Kahr mag springs back in the mags with a 1/8" spacer in the bottom of the mag to add just a little more force..
I then put 6 mags (36 rounds) of round ball and 10 rounds each of Buffalo Bore 70gr copper and 95gr hollowpoint through the gun with no problems. All rounds fed properly and the slide locked back on every empty mag. It was sweet!
At this point I was approaching 300 rounds. So, did I solve the problem or did the gun reach break-in or both. In any event, the gun feels reliable now. I'll have to fire more in the future but it's good for now.
