I'm glad the guy won't be charged, but i have to wonder if he should have gotten involved in the first place. Robbery was over when they were confronted. Others could have been shot as well as the citizen. Your thoughts?
The robbery was over. Nobody had been injured and the bad guys had put their guns away.
Wisdom being the better part of valor I would've gone the other way and been a good witness possibly getting the license plate of the getaway car and getting all three of them caught.
Of course the reporting may not be completely accurate, but I do believe that the permit holder instigated the situation which he then had to finish with two deaths. He may be skillful, but he is also darn lucky on many fronts, especially the legal one. There are DAs who would prosecute this guy for sure. He was not in fear for his life until after he confronted two criminals who he knew were armed.

Ain't over yet, remember they did the same with Zimmerman until Obuttforbrains said it looked like his son.
I hope the guy is left alone and not bothered but I don't see that happening. Lawyers, elections and Jesse and Al will see to that.

This story has been updated. The details have changed to he lived in the apartment above the store, got wind of what was going on downstairs. He then told the two hooks that he was calling the police and that they should stay there. The hooks started to scuffle with him and drew their weapons, he pulled his and shot both of them. He then waited for the police to show up and surrendered his gun upon their arrival, and answered all questions. Go to www.thetruthaboutguns.com to read this, they have better links and follow it better than I do.

That updated narrative sounds like the original scenario. What changed?

Well, according to the superior intellects at Think Progress, defensive gun uses are positively rare.

Looks like a good shooting or they would not have released him. He apparently tried to have them surrender. They chose their fate.

Well, as predicted, the families of the poor "victims" (armed robbers) are calling for justice.

Yeah he was a good kid and family man, not a thug. Thugs go around robbing stores with guns and stuff.
Excuse me while I throw up a little bit in my mouth.
I love the idea of policing ourselves. This guy took care of business when the man could have called the police and let them get away and then there wouldn't be any problems. Stores out money, dude saved a couple rounds of hard to come by ammo, thugs, I mean good kid family man nets a little cash and lives to rob again.
I say hang him and hang him high!

What I don't like is the neighborhood people honoring the two dead boys. This is becoming a typical reaction in our new society. Oh, little Johnny was such a good guy, Oh my brother Pete, he would not even know how to hold gun. B.S.
I'm sure we'll find out who fired the first shot in this three gun shoot-out.

The people in the neighorhood basicaly said "Good ridince to bad garbage".:typing:

Yeah now I saw on the local news( I live about two hours away) that they are putting candles out for the scum that tried a armed robbery and the DA called good shoot. Really don’t know when the line is crossed and people look at this like a murder or some kind of it. Fact the store got robbed at gun point store owners friend showed up told them to stay put till the cops showed up and that’s when the brains of the scum thought they could pull their guns and get away with this. There all kinds of thought about this, should he gone in there or stayed out well maybe, this is a friend of yours do you stand by and let it happen, you are a resident and want law in your town, we have had enough crime in our town???? Reading has a lot of crime as long as I can remember and the people are sick of the BS when this goes down it’s only minutes when this happens and before the law shows up. Really don’t know, would never live in a city. So why do you carry a gun ( I think that is a no brainier) how you use it be wise on that!
