Had one in my hand and I really like it. Just a bit larger than the MK series, but it fills my hand nicely.
I found a nice one and the price is very reasonable.

It seems that everyone wants the light weight plastic frames, and I would rather have a steel one anyway. I find one some times you can buy a used K for about the same price as a new CW.

My drive I take a least once a week is 3-4 hours to my parents (my mom had a stroke) and I pass gun stores all the way down.

Anyway, how do you see owning a K series if you already have an MK40?
Do they play as nice as my MK?

I am sure it will, and since you are familiar with Kahr already, any problems you may have, could be cured in a jiffy.......................

play nicer, TheK series was kahrs first entry into the gun world, great gun, both it and the MK aregonna be waste band carry anyways, so alittle bigger is not a bad thing. U shouldlike that gun ALOT. Just sayin.

Ithink Wyn has one and I think the colonel has one also.:amflag:

I have a K40, had it ported at Mag-n-Port and just love it. It is heavier than my PM9 but I carry it more in the winter when I am wearing a vest or jacket and do not tuck my shirt over the crossbreed holster

I also have a K40. Mine is not ported, and it's a handful to shoot, but manageable. I had an MK40 and traded up to the K for recoil manageability. You won't be disappointed, as in my mind anyway, there is a good difference.
The T40 is one sweet shooter ... but larger of course.

My wife carries one off duty and she likes it alot with the Houge grips. I was looking for one myself but have come up unlucky in finding a K40.

My K40 is Magna Ported also. It was a handful before but not intolerable.
Could still easily shoot it for long stretches.

I'd love to someday have a T40. That would be a nice combination I think.

My PM45 sees far more carry time since it's compatible with my 1911 but the K40 was my first Kahr and a person's first is always special.

I honestly don't even notice the recoil anymore (K40). Does it make sense to have both an MK40 and a K40? Probably not. But don't let that stop you. I doubt you'll regret the purchase.

Well I couldn't use that logic when it comes to 1911's. For some strange reason, I have several of those and so far it hasn't been a problem.

I might be finding myself on a Kahr Kick. It seems that I've overlooked the brand for sometime now because of the price, but when you have one in your hand and shot it, all of a sudden the price seems justified. I am really surprised at the quality they have.

I was at one of the gun stores I frequent during my trips to my parents and I compared a CW9 and 40 against the Glock. Really nothing against anyone who owns a Glock here, but I would go with the Kahr even given the magazine capacity.

I love my K40 Covert. Yes it is a hand full with heavier loads, but it is a defensive handgun and not a range gun.

I also have the TP45 which I may just love a bit more. It's my winter carry gun.

If you like the mk I'm sure you'll like the k. It should be more manageable to shoot. I adore my k 40 covert.
