never heard of one ever falling off. not sure how they are secured even. I don't think they are glued in but again just guessing.

Why would you even think about this or get concerned about it?
because it seems kahr made more effort securing the pm9 plate by sinking it in the frame...more than the cm9 plate...was wondering if anyone noticed or had issues....in the early days of glock. 1st and 2nd gen, glock did similiar plate....some had issues with serial # plate sometimes coming off, so they counter sunk plates on the newer gens!
at least in my pm9 plate is more sunk in, maybe since its older or i have a fluke.....

I remembered my PM40 SR plate being recessed. It is covered with a CTL now....so it don't matter to me anyway.
ok, if its normal its good...my pm9 was bought 2005 or earlier...dont recall, its a gen 1 as i say..earlier model flat front ......bought from friend who bought it new, had for 1 month, shot it and didnt like trigger pull.....so i jumped on it.....

The trigger is different than anything I've ever shot. But to me it is nice for carry (safe) and very smooth. Took me some time to get used to. They have a long trigger and the reset is non existent. I actually like my S&W M&P triggers better, but I would not trade my PM in. JMO.
