Any breakage or problems with the MIM CM9 slide stop?
If so will the PM9 non-MIM slide stop work on a CM9?
I didn't find any answers using the search function.

The only broken poly frame slide stop that I can remember being reported here was on a PM40 , but it's definitely not an issue. You do have to be careful not to insert the stop pin in front of the barrel lug during reassembly.

FWIW, I use a PM9 stop when I have the CM9 top end on my CM9 (I just like the look of it better).:)

I wish someone would explain why they think MIM slide stops would EVER be a problem. We've been through this a gozillion times...geez.

No one has reported the failure of the MIM slide stop in the CM or CW series pistol. The slide stops are interchangeable if your slide stop is causing you concern. IMO switching to the machined slide stop would be a waste of money. Your view might differ.

IMHO Kahr did an amazing job of finding ways to make the CM series less expensive without sacrificing quality. :yo:

Shoot with confidence.

I think the real basic difference that most people don't realize is that it is the PIN itself that is not a MIM part but on the pM series it is made out of some high priority steel. I might be wrong but I think the levers of each are more than likely MIM.

Correct. You might be wrong. I can see machining marks on my K and MK levers. At least they look like machining marks. I'm wondering though if only the LEVERS are MIM on the CMs. Are the pins machined on the CM just like the PM? Maybe that's what you were saying. My jockoese is rusty today. :o

the pin on the cm and cw is not a high propriety steel. Kahr when tey talk about their forged/MIM states about the high propriety steel pin and never realy says jack sh!2t about the lever, which u could be right on the PM series. It is odd that in the parts manual I think either slide lever is the same price, so go figure.

I guess there's nothing to worry about then. Thanks.
