This is a new thread on a old topic about safety on laser light training. Some said that the laser was not visible enough on the bench. And got me to think about this, I have come up with a few ideas and maybe some of you will like them. First the case is all brass (add color to it) the button is black that was a little harder I know paint won’t hold to the task. So I started looking around at what I may have that would be good, then I thought the labels that you get with reloading boxes and there was a nice orange label in there. I had a paper punch and looked at that, it was the right size to fit the button at least on the 45 laser. Cleaned with some alcohol punched out a orange dot got lined up and pushed it in making sure it had good contact. Very easy to see on the bench or in the gun. It may get a hole in the center but I think it will last for awhile. If not throw another dot on it. All the tools you need you probably have in your desk

I like it....Anything you can do to make practice safer is a good idea....Maybe contact the Laserlyte company and show them what you did and say they need to powder coat these things bright orange or lime green to prevent an accident....Surprised they didn't think of it already as those things need to really stand out from brass loaded rounds you might pick up by accident...

I believe it is to distinguish the laser device from ammo, so you don't accidentally have a laser in the chamber for SD.

...I'll sell you a snowblower that turns itself off the instant you take your hand off the grips.

Great idea!! Safety first.

I keep my laser cartridges with my snap caps which also is visually distinctive. However, I think your idea with the two additions of color is even better.
