kahr recoil spring

want to have extra springs...my pm9 recoil spring is 13 coils, cm9 is 15 coils..according to kahr web site...has anyone used 15 coils on 13 coil pm9 ????? wolff has 15 coils only...wanted spring only not complete recoil assembly from kahr....

The 15 coil spring from Wolff will work just fine in both guns.

i was reading online some coils are 14 turns not 15....but kahr still says 13 and 15 coils...so 15 coil will work on earlier 13 coils models....with no problems or does it make slide harder to rack?

CORRECTION: all wolff recoil springs are 13 coil. What they show for the PM9 and PM40 is the same outter spring also 13 coils. It used to be 15 coils in the cm models but in the last 6 months or so, kahr has went totally to the 13 coil outter spring for both the cm and PM models. I think the reason they did this was there was just so many complaints on the 15 coil models with hand racking and even getting the slide backon correctly. We read here many times where kahr techs even suggested cutting back a coil or two. When uy think about it the difference in the blunt noxe PM9 slide and the new beveled PM9 slide was .20, did it make any real sense to add two more coils to the recoil spring??? It never did to me. So order ur outter recoil springs from wolffs and they willfit perfectly inb both models. IMOu do not need to change the innder recoil spring at all. Leave well enough alone.

Nice thing about the wolffs spring is that they offer two different recoil poundages. Order the factory sprimng setting and then order one of the next weight springs which I think is the 20.5# try it and see how u like it. Works nice with +P rounds and I think it is a coil longer to, if I remember.

Wolffs makes all of kahrs springs,so ur gettin the best IMO.

If I might also suggest while ordering from wolffs, as postage won't be any higher. to ourder the 5# striker spring and the 5% more strength/Power mag springs for the 6 or 7 round kahr mags. A very nice mod that does no harm. I really think u will love the 5#striker spring.

Just looking at the Wolff web site on the recoil springs. From what I see, no. 52818 set includes both inner/outer recoil springs and a factory power striker spring. I already have the wolff 5# striker spring so don't need another factory one and as I'm reading the Posts it's only necessary to change the outer recoil spring.

Am I missing another order number or will I just end up with an inner spring and striker spring that I won't need?

no, that ishow wolffs packs their springs. Just set um aside IMO.
