Yeah, I know...............but I'm asking anyway.............since I don't see them come up too often for sale, what kind of retail value would you put on a Sig P220 sas full size, with about 250 rds. through. Not planning on selling in the near future, but just wanted an opinion on fair market value. I just never see them come up.

My local shops have a handful of them priced in the $600 range. Night sights adds about $50.

I always take full retail and subtract 25% for a never fired gun that has been purchased. The priced drops from there. Another point is that at 1000 rounds the weapon is worth no more than 65% brand new to me. I can buy virtually any gun with this pricing model.

When questioned my response is "Six months from now you still cannot eat it."

I've paid near NIB prices for guns with 500+ rounds through them to guys I know, just because I know the gun has gone through break-in and is totally reliable. Round count don't make a whole lot of difference to me in a good quality handgun. I like to let someone else spend the money shooting the rough edges off.;)

Maybe I should have been more specific.................2 tone, night sights...............saw one like mine, but it might have been the compact. Couldn't tell from description or pics.http://kahrtalk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

The value of the gun is whatever you are willing to pay and not one penny more.

That goes for everything not just firearms.

I like armslist because you can generally find a similar one and figure your value from there. Some guys use gunbroker, but most everything I see on there appears way overpriced.
Just a guide to see what the average asking prices are. Of course if it is a unique gun.....it is a whole different game....if your selling start high, you can always come down.

Agree on Armslist. GunBroker is a board for rip-offs.
