I finally made it to the range today with my pre-owned CM9. What has it been, nearly three months since I bought it at the staff meeting? Anyway although I have been carrying it daily it was untested until today. Don't lecture me -- I know -- untested = untrusted. However, my other KAHRs have been so reliable I took the chance. Well, the CM9 did not disappoint. Even though it is very small (nearly .380 size) and I can only get a three-finger grip it is very controllable with full power 9mm ammo. It is actually much more pleasant to shoot than the Taurus TCP .380 that I had been carrying (but subsequently sold). There is so little difference in size and weight I prefer the 9mm. Most of what I shot today was 115 gr JHP reloads that I had purchased at a gun show. I figured if it was going to choke on anything this was the acid test. Well it did not choke -- on the contrary, it fed everything perfectly. Furthermore it put everything in a tennis ball size group off hand at 7 yards. I did have to adjust the rear sight slightly; groups were about 3" left of point of aim at the range I was shooting. I had noticed that the sight was aligned slightly to the left and when I centered it groups moved exactly where I wanted them. I later backed off to 10 yards with Rem 115 gr JHP factory and the groups were the same size they had been with the reloads at 7 yards. The trigger is particularly smooth and breaks consistently which contributes to the good groups. I did add a 3/32x3/4" O-ring to the groove above the mag base so I did not get any of the dreaded CM pinkie-pinch.

I really like pocket carry using the TUFF holster I bought for it http://www.tuffproducts.com/Jr_Roo_Pocket_Holster_p/5075.htm.
In cargo pants or shorts it is very comfortable and does not print at all. With jeans I am using a Grizzle IWB holster that I purchased for my CW9/K9. The IWB holster is 1/2 inch longer than the barrel length on the CM9 but the extra length seems to add stability.

I know you said you didn't mind the three-finger grip ... but a Pierce extension really makes it much more comfortable.

I hope that you are just resting that pinky finger on the extension, Rev. Only your middle two fingers of your strong hand are supposed to apply reward pressure to the grip of the pistol.

I don't have the pinky extension, but I didn't know that was a thing.

This is not a lecture... It is a comment.
You are crazy!

Glad it worked out for you. I have a few Kahrs and mostly carry my PM9 because of the size and weight. They sure are fine guns.

Rev, I appreciate the suggestion but with the O-ring in the gap between the butt and magazine base it is actually very comfortable to wrap my pinkie under the grip. I have tried using the longer magazine from my CW9 and while it works it prevents me from using the pocket carry I like. For my hand, the CM9 just works.

I need to try the O ring mod. I also like the feel with the 6 round mag but it would be nice to fill that gap.

I got mine at Ace Hardware but Lowe's or Home Depot should have them also. The size is 3/32x3/4 and it cost me $0.50.
