OK, so ask me if I had a good Saturday, Well I would have to say HE!!yeah . Last week Buzzard45(Buzzy) went up to the cabin for some hunting and thru that he found out his uncle’s range was reopened. Not far from us, so we made plans go there today. Just a old farm that we could shoot, I have been stuck shooting at indoor range with slow shooting rules for some time now since I have moved and I could shoot at anytime, man this was like heaven to shoot outside again. Had a nice 20' x20' tarp we put on the ground to find all of the brass at the 10 yard range and we went at it. He was shooting his PM45 and Ruger blackhawk And his mod 88 308 and myself had my Xdm 3.8 45 and my Marlin 1894 357. Now we can go there anytime. I have not had so much fun in a long time. I must sat I am impressed with the Xdm since I reworked it 200 rounds without any failures rapid fire. It was good to be on a private range again. So rather picking up leaves or haling firewood got to do some shooting got to pay for that tomorrow . Got a few pictures of Buzzy with his PM 45. And I got to shoot a AR first time ever also, never been a rifle guy really didn't have a place to shoot them but that was the icing on the cake so now I can smile when I go to sleep tonight

Looks like great fun. Did you have any luck hunting?

I really miss shooting outdoors. I grew up on 150 acres of woods and fields in Tennessee. I could literally step out the back door and shoot all I wanted.

Great way to spend the day, and more to come.

Always better to shoot outdoors. I like your idea about the tarp - sure would save a lot of time huntin' down the scattered brass.

Hose' is my brass catcher, bought him a Wilson fielders glove, and he never misses a casing. He is now a shortstop for the chicago cubs. i feel a big part of his success to.
