From reading over many of the postings, I almost get the impression that many of our members own duplicates of the same model Kahr.

I have to admit, I can see how the addiction would be possible.

How many of you have two or more of the same model/caliber?

I have two CW40s because the wife and I originally agreed to have only one caliber that started with a "4" for concealed carry. However, she's decided it's too much gun so she downgraded to a S&W M&P Shield 9 based on firing a friends. So the one I don't carry is my office gun.

Not yet, but soon. I've had a PM, P, and TP9. Still have the P and TP. I have the P up for sale and when it goes, adding a second TP9. Basically a carry and a 'back-up' in the safe. I love the TP9 and its really the only Kahr I need going forward. I know, I know...heresy.

Well I do happen to have 2 K9s in the house but if I had not been an idiot that would not be the case. See the wife needed a handgun she could carry and well after a couple of trips she got a CW9. I liked the size so much but prefer steel and just happened to run across a K9. The first words out of her mouth when she touched that K9 were "I know which Kahr I am going to carry", so I found another K9 before she changed her mind. Well she found that she can not operate the slide to her satisfaction so she carries her CW9 and I have the spare K9 that I do not intend to part with now that I have it.

It's not that I wouldn't have ever gotten the second K9 but I would have gotten a stainless newer model had I thought to check to see if she could even run the slide to her satisfaction.

I'm not sure why I'd want two of the same, but to each his own.

One for each hand? :)

Not me--at least with handguns. I do that on some long guns that I either feel may be hard to get parts for down the road, or that I want to pass to both kids when the time comes. Hopefully that will avoid arguments about who gets daddy's rifles. ;)

My two Kahrs are different on purpose. They back each other up in the rare instance that something might break. They are different sizes in case that size is a carry factor. And I found out last spring, when 9mm was scarce, that it's good to have different calibers available too.

Now I will say that I tend to have multiple (different) firearms from the same manufacturer(s). Once I find a good one, I stick with them.
