Looking to get a Uncle Mike iwb for my P380. Yes I know they are cheap holsters but damm they are comfortable to me. I carry appendix and the thinnest works for me. Anybody know what number to get?
Thanks

gilfo, I currently have a size 1 for short carry or around the house and property. It's pretty big, though, and the P380 doesn't reach the bottom and the grip scrunches down the rear of the holster quite a bit. This obviously is not a good fit.
The latest UM holsters that I've seen all have the "hood" or protective extension between you and the gun. This thing is ridiculously high and cups above the gun, catching the shirt and printing like crazy. I have 3-4 of those new types and I cut that extra part off just above the rear sights and then hemmed it up with a zig-zag stitch that gathers up the three layers.
Then there's the FAT plastic clip... it sucks for retention... steel is much better. I'm really disappointed with the latest crop of UM holsters. They are thicker, too.
I'm still looking for something better... thinner and more secure. These are secondary holsters and my four Kahrs stay in those while laying about the house or short carries.
I carry IWB and want the thinnest thing I can find, but security is a big concern, too. The older UM holsters wore out quickly, but were thinner and had metal clips without the tall "hood".
I do have two Minitucks -- one for the P380 and one for the PM9 which accommodates the K9(kinda loosely) and the PM45 just right. Retention is better when those are worn and the belt is adjusted.
It's a ways to the next decent gun show here, but I plan to continue looking for something better, but inexpensive.
Thin and less is better, but it's hard to find something that's not costly.
JMHO.
Good luck.

I think a #10. It says it is for the .25 autos and such..... but it fits the wifes Taurus TCP very snug, just right really. And the Kahr is similar sized I think. The size they claim is for .380s, is a good bit bigger. It is a loose but adequate fit.
