trying to figure out the follower problem a bit more in depth while waiting for Kahr to respond to email. I took a pic of all my CM9 mags. It seems like some of the magazines have them to varying degrees. I wonder why some of them have it worse than others, is it possibly a magazine tolerance issue instead of the barrel? I assume this is where the feed ramp is hitting the follower and cracking it.

Guys that have the follower issue and not had the problem fixed, do you have these same scratches?

guys that don't have any issues or had their barrel fixed, do you get these scratches on the follower or are your's scratch free?

nice photos. IMO probalby easierfor kahr to address this from the feed ramp end than trying to redesign the frame etc. Thebottom of the feed ramp serves no real purporse, The round never touches that area, so they can modify it with no issues forward, and again every one of the guys here that has done the ramptrecomy themselves have had zero issues to. this was at one time quite common on the kel tekforum. Without the ramptecomy on many many of the kel teks the gun just simple malfunctioned. I don't recall seein any broken followers.

This is not anepecimic with kahrs either but it is a PITA when it happens to you the owner. I can't understand why kahr has not addressed this in their maching operation of the barrel/feed ramp and just be done with it. Maybe easier for me to say this than to maybe doit also. I don't know. Kahr macninestheir own barrels so it should be an easier change being it is all in house work and not dealing with a vendor etc..Just sayin

I have 3 mags for my CM9. None of them are scratched. 1500 rounds or more through them all together.

I would bet that those scratches are from the hole in the mag (where the mag catch/release is).

Some have softened the two edges that could catch on the hole with some fine sandpaper.

Thank you. I am kinda relieved to find this out. I am still in my young formative years and naturally curious. The vet who lives next door said he didn't think it had anything to do with animals.

How much material needs to come off the feed ramp? It's so hard to see in the gun to be able to tell how much contact is being made. Also which Dremel attachment is best to use ?

This is how my followers look on my PM40 mags. All 5 look exactly the same. Nice and smooth. And they all work just fine.

An anepecimic is very similar to an epidemic, but on a much grander scale. A deductadictomy is much like a addadictomy only in reverse. In time you'll come to know these things, grasshopper.

My followers are unmarked and as pure as the driven snow. My detractor sleeps among sheep and goats.
