the old SmartCarry is getting worn, but with a CM9 it's a perfect deep concealment combo for my shape and purposes

and before you ask:
1. No, it does not point at my privates
2. I can draw and fire in about 3 seconds
3. It's not for every "body".
4. Racing tape over it's heaviest wear point extends life by years

I use the same set up with my cm9. I usually iwb a larger piece most times, but this set up works really good for those deeper conceal needs that come up. Mine is not showing that much wear - yet. When it does I will have to look at adding that tape or maybe have my wife sew on some extra material in that spot.

I have worn editions of the original Thunderwear for almost 20 years. It works great for deep concealment. A few observations:

1. Most people can conceal a gun larger than the little CM's down there. My TP9 rides just fine and is still just as thin. A longer barrel actually gets the grip up closer to the belt line for easier access.
2. It is faster and easier to get on the grip if the gun sits higher out of the pocket. Cloth or even paper towels folded in the bottom raise the gun up.
3. Sewing a line of stitches can customize the pocket to hold your gun more upright. Stitches on the other pocket can position the spare mag right where you want it. Flashlight right next to it.
4. I have cut a plastic insert from a milk jug. This helps hold the pocket open for reholstering and eliminates the wear. A few hand stitches along the top hold it in place. Use a hair dryer to soften the plastic and mold it to the shape of the gun.
5. Always wear a (T) shirt tucked behind the rig. It guides your hand to the grip without getting misdirected on an underwear waistband.
6. I replace the elastic belt, which stretches and wears out fairly quickly, with pieces of denim. Properly adjusted, I never undo the Velcro. I just slide the whole rig up over my legs then hips into position. It is a little more stable than the elastic.

Because of retiring, I can now dress so I can conceal a larger gun with appendix IWB, which is far superior for speed of access and reholstering. I use the T'wear only about once a week now when dressed in a suit.

I've covered my privates in racing tape for years, and haven't experienced much wear at all, damn it. It does prevent premature discharge, however. :)

Recently got a TActiPac. Not worn it enough to know about fabric wear pattern. Still have not figured out how to shift the holster around to use a urinal. Before anyone asks, I am "normal size" and I do know the joke "This water sure is cold" and reply "And deep, too".
