This is disturbing, but a reality of why we need to defend ourselves. I can easily say I would have not hesitated to open fire.

The vast majority of us don't go looking for trouble, but inspite of our best efforts sometimes it finds us anyway. You can ask just about any highschool teacher, myself included, if they have any undesirable elements in their classes. My bet is that 99% of the time you will get a definate YES. As in the video, these kids are looking for an easy victim to vent their rage on. There was probably no particular reason to beat on the old man, they just wanted to show how "bad" they were.
One of the best reasons I can think of to carry.

Oh, they had a reason. Because he dared to tell them to quit loitering about his home and driveway. Animals.

One never knows when trouble is going to find you. I say, hope for the best.... but be prepared for the worst.

Wow I hate to say it though, but I'll bet it never happens to those gentlemen again. That leaves an impression on all who see it too. I don't know why people are afraid to help when they see such and act. I was raised to protect those weaker than myself, it just baffles my little mind.
