I am buying one of the following
P250
Or
SP2022

I want 9mm to match the CM9

I feel like the SP2022 is a better product
I can't get over the SA/DA
I want DOA, like the Kahr.

Thoughts here?

The 250 seems to be an excellent firearm. It is a Sig after all. My LGS has one I have been looking at. Good feel in the hand. It is the compact version. Good trigger pull. Only comes with one mag same as the 2022. You can switch out barrel, slide and so forth. If quality is your concern then I see no worries.

I like my gen1 P250 pretty well. The DAO trigger is really smooth. It's pretty accurate. 15 round mag is nice too.

I bought a German 2022 when they first came out. It was a very good pistol, but it was too large for my taste so I sold it. I've tried the P250 several times at my LGS and once on a range. The gun performed perfectly, but I wasn't sold on the trigger. It was smooth, but the pull seems too long to me. I have been a SIG fan since my first one in 1980, so if the pistols feel good to you, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either one.

Had a Sig P250 compact and loved it. Bought it for the exact same reason you mentioned, DAO trigger similar to the Kahr (but boy, longer and heavier). I didn't mind that at all, it shot like a champ. Only reason I dumped it was to fund another purchase. I just wasn't shooting the P250 that much. I regret that sale frequently. Would have made an excellent car gun or just stick it back for a rainy day. But I digress.

As much as I like my CZ P-01, not a fan of decockers OR safeties. The P250 trigger is awesome for what it is. It's really smooth, albeit it long with a long reset. As a firearm to learn on, it'd be hard to beat. You learn trigger control. Long heavy-ish pull is safe. Couple that w/ the caliber exchange capability, or just being able to go long and short barrel, its just all in all, a pretty great do-it-all firearm.

I will say, holsters are hard to find for it. Not many out there. I carried my in a Remora. Was about to order an old faithful OWB for it when I decided to sell it. As a range gun, that would not be a problem.

Personally, I'd take the 250 over the 2022 any day of the week.

Now I want one again. Thanks!

The P250 Compact 9mm was my first pistol. I liked it a lot and learned much from it. I sold it to get a CM9, then a K9, and now I have a Sig P938 for CC.

I don't think you can beat the P250 for the money if you are after DAO trigger.

I want the 250. Posting in a crisp trigger forum like this, i hoped i would get pushed into the 250. DAO FTW!

I'd rather have the P250, if only for the modularity, but be warned those conversions are almost as expensive as a while new pistol.

I would look at some other offerings, beside Sig.............I own a Sig, but would want to try something different.

If you are looking at something DAO, just not much out there. You could go Para LDA, or maybe the Walther PPX. Just not much out there. At the time, I went w/ the P250 b/c I wanted more capacity than the LDA (and lighter weight) and the PPX wasn't out. I'd consider the PPX today, but I still think I'd rather have the P250. PPX I saw at a show was unimpressive and it just looks stupid.

yea, well, the sig 250 is kinda terminator looking too if you ask me, particularly the compact and full size. the para is the best looking of those, but too heavy (for me anyway). the PPX is just fugly.

Sig offers a variety of DAO pistols. They are reliable and tough. I prefer the DA/SA models. Under the stress of defensive shooting exercises, nothing I own beats my old W. German P226 9mm for putting multiple rounds where they are supposed to go. That also is the only handgun I own that has had no modifications of any kind ever done to it.
I guess I am coming to the conclusion that would be the last gun I would ever sell.

You know, I totally forgot about the DAK Sig variants. So yep, couple other choices there.
