Brand new Kahr K9 member here. Both the gun is brand new and I am brand new to Kahr pistols.

I shot it for the first time last night and it worked flawlessly. Not a single hiccup in 150 rounds. It did loosen up quite a bit, but that's not an issue.

I did notice some roughness/peening at the edge of the hole in the frame where the slide stop fits in (right side, inside the frame). I don't have pics, but it looks like it occurred when it was manufactured. I never forced the slide stop in enough to do any damage. Sorry for not having a pic.

Is this normal? I know it doesn't really matter, but with OCD and all.

Don't tell my HK P7M8, but I've got a new carry gun!

Welcome to the forum. I suspect it's a leftover burr from machining. Obviously it didn't effect the operation of your new K9.

if you like the P7, then you may want to also look into the Kahr T9. These two pistols are like peas in a pod. Same size, same weight, polygonal 4" barrel, 8+1 capacity, same simple operation.

Does this mean that newly made Kahrs are not as good as a few years ago?

Did Kahr have that perfect time frame like FN/ Browning with their "T" series that Browning people say was at the "Precipice" of quality.
