Just sayin' hey!

Whittled down my next gun choice to a Kahr.
Now I have to choose between a couple of models, and that's why I am here...to learn.

Later,
Bob

Welcome to the forum. This is a good place to learn, no question about it. What are the 2-3 options you're thinking of?

Thanks!

Four possibles, but really only two decisions...K or P and 9 or 40.

I'm fairly old, and still love steel guns. But...maybe...
I like 9mm, but I never owned a 40.
(Right now I shoot/reload 9mm, 9x18 Mak and .45 ACP)

Since you own a .45, then you know what you're getting with a 40, so you can pretty much work that one out by yourself I'm sure. As for the K or P question, let me just tell you one thing. I'm new to guns myself having bought my first one earlier this year. My first was a CM9, which was followed about four months later by an MK9. I had quickly come to the conclusion that I liked the feel of an all-metal gun once I had a chance to try one. I've decided that for the foreseeable future, all-metal is the way I'm going to go. So if you do think you might like a P, I would recommend you find some way to try one out first. Though the mechanics of Kahrs all all pretty much similar, the feel of the metal guns vs the plastic ones is very different.

P.S. I just this week bought myself a stainless .380 Makarov made in Russia. Which Makarov do you own ... Russian, Bulgarian, etc.?

Thanks for the advice....
I started a separate thread about my decision here: http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=21799

It sure is good to see new people from Illinois and specificly Chicago. I wish the Freedom loving People of your Great State the strength, power and success to overcome the Neo-National-Socialist that has way too much power in Lincoln's State.

Kahr is a great firearm manufacturer, IMO. The TP45 is my winter carry pistol. It's feels great in the hand and is easy to control. Any 9, 40 or 45 is going to be a great pistol to own. You'll need to budget on at least one more Kahr. It'll likly always be, just one more.... :>)
