Kahr K9's marked stainless

So,

I've been looking at gunbroker every now and then for a blackened K9. I've noticed that some K9's are marked "stainless" just above the serial number and others are not. I was wondering if the newer production or older production Kahrs have this mark. Any ideas? Just curious.

Not all K9s are stainless. Some are carbon steel.

agree and I would think any gun that was stainless wouldb e so marked.

Mine is stainless. cIt is marked on the other side of the slide.

I got my K9 new in March 1998 and it's marked stainless on the right side of the frame above the serial number.

The P40 and the P380 are not marked stainless, but the DLC models are... PM9, P9, and the PM45, on the front lower right side of the slide... the ejection port side.
