Hello all,
I just picked up my cm9 yesterday, prepped it last night, shot 100 beautiful rounds this morning, and now I am on the hunt for a holster.
I am looking for something rather quick and easy to clip on IWB when running to the corner store, Walgreens or whatever real quick. Something for the times I don't feel like strapping on a belt, or am wearing gym shorts / sweat pants so I only have two pockets. Just want to go, "phone, keys, wallet, gun" and go. I'm not strapping up to go out for the day, just run a quick errand.
I have come across the Desanti Pro Stealth, and I like that it clips on and comes with an extra mag holder. But I also saw the Remora Tuck holsters and like that they have the full sweat guard option, but don't have the extra mag holder.
I am looking for something similar in style to those, but am still open for suggestions!
Thanks!

If you're into Kydex go with a PJ Holster IWB with an over the belt loop. You can put in on in seconds, it's light weight and day long comfortable. PJ also makes great pocket holsters.

Remora makes a version called a Series 3 that has an extra mag holder in front of the gun. Dunno that I'd want my extra mag holder on the same side as the gun, but it'd definitely make for a more convenient on/off having it integrated like that.
I carry my P9 and TP9 in a Remora. Love it. Don't think you will be disappointed if you go that route vs a IWB clip type holster. The Remora is my exclusive CCW method these days. Works for lightweight and heavier guns alike. Probably wouldn't attempt a 30+ oz gun in one. But it has worked fine for both my Kahrs, Sig P250 (compact model), and my CZ P-01. So, up to 30oz has worked fine.

I really liked my Silent Thunder (http://www.giholsters.com/silent-thunder-iwb-sale-on-olive-drab-kydex-20-off/) holsters. I called them a "Grab-N-Go" holster because they simply slid inside the pants with clip over the belt and hid. Much faster and easier than fitting a sticky pocket holster in the pocket (usually on top of the car keys).

Remora or Nate Squared Tactical are both great for a quick trip out. For a Kahr the Remora should be plenty. I use both of those with a G26 and they work great.

Thinking about getting that one and adding a sweat shield cause it gets hot down here in Houston. Does anybody have experience with them? Full sweat shield vs partial? Does it interfere when trying to grab the firearm?
Also, is the hyde-leather lining any good? Worth the extra $ for upgrade?

I've been using a Desantis Nemesis for years...........front pocket.......grab your keys, your wallet, your firearm, out the door. The Nemesis isn't sticky, but it works like it is. I do it with an MK9, I would think a CM would be a breeze.

I carry in a modified pj holster with athletic shorts daily and love it. One FYI though, their kydex clip will not work without a belt. The holster will pull out with the gun. For athletic shorts you will need a holster with a metal clip (or remora).

I ordered both of my Remora's (one for my P/TP and one larger for 4" double-stack guns) without the sweat shield. But with a sweat shield, it's definitely gonna prevent you from getting your thumb on inside of the gun to draw it. You are sandwiching a gun between your body and belt and the sweat shield comes up above the grip. It's gonna be more a question of can you live w/ that or not.
I knew up front that I wanted a full grip and wasn't as concerned about the sweat shield. I typically (always) have a t-shirt on under another shirt and the t-shirt is between me and the grip. Also...keep in mind, the polymer grip is all that's gonna come in contact w/ your skin. I run a Remora 3C with my P and TP. On the P series in the 3C, it sits BELOW the top of the non-sweat-shield model so the slide isn't high enough to touch me. On the TP, it's just barely above, less than 1/4 of an inch probably. So, for a PM/CM and the 3B, the slide is probably gonna be totally covered as well.
All that said, the Remora's are cheap enough to order both and see, then return what doesn't work.

^good info..
Do you know how much sweat harm the polymer frame and/or the slide?

I don't think sweat is gonna do anything to the poly frame. Stainless slide though, yes, over time if you don't keep it cleaned off, it'll begin to rust. Stainless is not 100% stainless, in any form. I just don't worry about it. I keep my guns clean and I only carry a couple regularly and am fine w/ the eventuality that I may have to refinish them. But I've been carrying stainless firearms for years and years and they all still look almost new. Ultimately, they are carry guns and I expect wear.
BTW, slight correction to my previous post. Went and measured. In the Remora 3C, my P9 has a small 1/4" triangle exposed that WOULD contact skin if carried w/o a t-shirt between. On the TP9, 1/2" trapezoid. So, in a Remora 3B, the PM series probably exposes about the same 1/4" triangle area of the slide.

It will over time on the stainless without cleaning.
That said I'm a big fan of Boeshield T-9. It's a paraffin based protection used on Boeing aircraft. On stainless or matte black finishes it's not noticeable. Spray it on wipe off excess and let dry.
The Remora is also easy to clean sweat/oils off.. A little Dawn dish detergent and water and it's like new.
PS I'm on now on my second Remora... during cold weather months on my way to work I'd just tuck it underarm and then slip it under the seat when I got to my car. Seems one day in my usual routine the holster stayed underarm and the Kahr went bare under the seat. Somewhere on my stops to work the Remora fell out from under my jacket. That holster is so versatile I could have carried underarm with just a little squeeze... like I did to the walk to the car.
If the Holiday30 promo code still works it includes a single mag holster on top of the discount....

+1 on that advice. Best IWB holster for the money IMO. Delivery is FAST. If you are not happy, send it back for refund. Great company and folks there. My son-in-law know them personally and have visited them. I would love to get my hands on their leather lined model. No sweat shield for me. But there are a lot of good IWB holsters out there to try.

Went ahead and took advantage of the remora sale and picked up a basic iwb and got the free mag holder..
I still think I want something easy with a clip on it for when I throwing sweatpants or gym shorts to run to the store, or pick up donuts, etc..
I have heard good things about, the n82 holsters. Does anybody have any advice as to which style to get? They only have 3 options (regular,tuck-able, and the pro)

Slow down there aceadt. If your in that much of a hurry your starting out too, late. Allow me to relate this story.
An old bull and a young bull stood on a hill overlooking a pasture full of heifers. The young bull say to the old bull, "Let's run down the hill, jump the fence and have our way with one of them. The old bull say to the young bull, "No, let's walk down the hill, go through the gate and have our way with all of them. There's a lot of wisdom to what an old bull says.

I have experience with both the original and pro N82 holsters. The pro is by far the better of the 2 and is one of three holsters I use in my EDC.

aceadt, you cant go wrong Remora or the Sticky. Good deal on the Remora with the free mag holder. I think the Remora is a little stickier of the 2. I make sure all my night stand pistols are in some kind of holster, so the Remora serves that purpose also. BTW, I got the Sticky for a grab & go for my Ruger 1911 CMD. With a good belt cinched well it feels pretty secure...for a heavy grab & go.

Christmas time = slow time at work, so I have too much time to surf the web and learn more and more about my new tool. Just a little excited and want to get everything together :)
I just put the last 75 rounds of the ~200 break in and have yet to have a malfunction, so I am ready to get the gear to start carrying it along with me.

My daily is a crosscreed holster. Not a quick and easy go holster though. My owb is a KT mech. Best bang for the buck when it comes to owb kydex. Then obviously I have the remora. Like the above poster said, great holster for the nightstand.

I've heard great things about the nate squared holsters but have not used one myself.
Sidenote - I never leave the house in gym shorts or sweatpants so I don't have much experience there.
