Pet monkey

A guy walks into the bar with his pet monkey and orders a drink. While he's sipping his drink, the monkey is jumping around, all over the place and eats everything behind the bar. Then, he jumps on the pool table and eats the cue ball. The bartender says, " Hey, did you see what that monkey did, he ate my cue ball, whole". The guy says, " Yeah, little bastard eats everything, I'll pay for the losses". He pays and leaves. Two weeks later, the guy stops in again, with his monkey. The monkey finds a maraschino cherry. He sticks it in his arse, pulls it back out, and eats it. The bartender says, " That's discusting, did you see that?" The guy says, " Yeah, ever since he ate that cue ball, he measures everything now."

I'm here to tell you that joke has been going around forever.... in one form or another.

I heard it from one of the inventors of centimetric radar at MIT. He said it made the rounds well before the war. At MIT it involved a monkey named Alphonse, eating peanuts, and thrusting each one up his butt hole, in MIT parlance he was "gauging it for confirmity".

The more things change, the more they stay the same. And thanks Andy, I miss ya.
