Thats a nice family portrait. Kind of makes me wish I'd studied to be a photographer. Always thought of working for like Playboy but family portraits would be even better. Ok, I'll turn myself in for evaluation.

You need and XD in there to round out the family...:D

Since you have that grip extension on the Kahr (PM), you might as well trade it for a P, getting another round magazine for the same grip length. The slightly longer barrel will make it shoot better. The extension defeats the concealability feature of the PM. It's okay as a man toy but not as a CCW concept.

And maybe a S&W M&P just to cover all the bases.

Yes you are correct. 4" version with Hogue grips. I bought it new in late 80s early 90. Its found a home for sure.

I have no issues with the P380 and the grip extension. I wear it all the time with just a t shirt over it. Disappears completely.

I have the Hogue grips for mine too, and alternate according to my taste. I de-horned mine and love it. Smooth shooter, and because of the weight, recoil is next to nothing. I get some strange looks when people find out that I carry it IWB, but why not. Great piece, I picked mine up for $250 in a pawn shop near were I was stationed in 2001'ish maybe 02. I fell in love with that pistol the first time I handled one, just knew I had to have one in stainless, it was and is a dream gun of mine. QuietMan, unless your state has a barrel length restriction, the 4" will serve you well, and be useful should you be adventurous enough to carry it.

It would be a liitle to heavy for me to carry I think. It stays in the night stand by the bed. It is a good shooter though. I took my CC course with it. At the time it was the only handgun I owned. I have added a few since then!

Mine was the second pistol I bought legally. It is a fun one though. I still wonder why Ruger has a bit of a bad rep though. I've never had a problem with my 4, and have found that like the other part of their rep, that they are built like a brick 4 holer, with partitions. That's ok though, more for us right.

Yep, I have no problems with Rugers. I have owned several and all have been great. I sold a Mark ll or is it lll with 5-1/2" bull barrel, target sights, and walnut grips with thumb rest. I sure would like to have that one back. I also have had a couple of 10/22s that I liked. Now have a 10/22T with nice target scope. Its a real thumb tack driver. So yeah more for us.

Where was the magazine release on the 22 pistol? If it was a heel clip, then a MKII, if 1911 style, then it was a MKIII. I have a P345, a MKII 50th anniversary model, and a 10/22 in addition to the GP100. Not a problem with the bunch. I've only shot one Sig, and it was nice piece, for the 4 rounds I got to use. That however is a different story...

My .22 auto was not a 1911 style, so must have been MKll. Well don't leave us hanging lets here the story. LOL

I was working for the City of Dallas, in a less than pleasant neighborhood, (I was cutting water off for non-payment with them), as I had some extra time, I was talking to a cop about one of the usual problems that I had left several blocks back. I had seen the rottweiler that had gotten out of his yard and was roaming the neighberhood, a few blocks back. As I was talking to this officer, a 4year old(ish) child came out of her house, with her mother lagging behind. The stars and planets must have been aligned, or something, because as the child was opening the gate, the dog came charging. As my pistol (the GP-100, that I wasn't supposed to have) was locked on the front seat of my truck, and not less than 15 yards from us, I ah barowed the officer's Sig. He was watching the same thing I was, and froze. I got it out and lit 4 rounds off hit the dog in the air, it actually knocked the little girl over. I handed the officer his weapon back after I had de-cocked it and told him it was a nice piece. To say that he came alive after that would be an understatement. I found myself in the back of his car, and as we were between chief's at the time got an ass chewing from the acting chief. I got let go because I had just embarrassed the officer and department, and there was a reporter for the local news channel that would have loved to hear about my little stunt. It was also the day my office was going to meet for a staff meeting/Christmas party. What a day that was.

A sig man I see, I have a P229 and have another sig on the way. I don't have current "family" pics. I tend to send them off for adoption when a new one comes along :D
Here's a couple of old portraits
All of these went to new homes...

I knew when you said you borrowed the officer's Sig that this wasn't going to come out good for you. But you obviously did the right thing in this case. Sounds like you are a pretty good shot as well.

I was going to the range a lot more before my daughter came into this world, but I still hit what I shoot at, just not as tightly or fast. I found out that borrowing an officers weapon like that is a felony, and that I could still be charged with up to 7 years after the fact. I was doing like I was told and kept quiet about it until some of my other cop buddies started razzing me about it, then I figured why not. I don't even remember any thought to it at all, I just snatched it and fired.
