So excited to be finally getting the PM9 after a year of wanting one. Got rid of my LCP and wanted something to replace it for pocket carry. I love my recent purchase of the CW9, that helped me decide to not wait any longer to get the PM9...I will post some pics up tomorrow>

Did you get rid of the LCP or did it just get bumped to the bottom of the list?

My LCP is no longer my main carry gun, but the LCP fits great in a travel shaving bag. :)

I actually got rid of it, I loved the size of it, but finding 380 has been a pain, plus the ammo is more expensive, so I sold it to a friend.

You are going to love the PM9, it has become my main carry and I could not be happier.
I've never been a fan of the 380s (not trying to belittle the cartridge, I just don't like it) and always been a big fan of 9mm so having a 9 on a small size is just fantastic for me in fact I hardly ever carry anything else.
The other thing is that you will see a noticeable difference on your ammo purchase cost, the 380 has become very expensive and hard to find while the 9mm is still within reason.

I started with a Kel Tec P3AT, didn't like the quality, traded it for an LCP, better quality, but then I saw a Sig P238, liked the quality but didn't like the cost of ammo, nor the lack of availability. Finally, I found the PM9 (must give credit to Nutnfancy on youtube for his excellent review, which is what sold me on the PM9). The PM9 is not much bigger than the Sig P238 and it's alot more powerful cartridge. Add in lower cost ammo and plenty of availability and it's a winner. I know Kahr makes the P380 but I don't want to carry anything smaller than a 9mm. If I ever go back to a .380 it would be the Kahr, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

I got rid of my 380 for the same reasons. I never have been big on 9mm, but 40 and 45 work well for me. In fact the smallest centerfire pistol I have is my GP100 in 357 mag. 380 just got hard to find, and then it got expensive too, that was the final nail in it for me.

My favorite of all kahrs has to be the PM9. \\You might want to go to the kahr tech section and hit on PROPPER PREPPING OF YOUR NEW KAHR. Might be a few things there to help your break in along.

Nice gun, indeed, now just shoot it like u stole it..

Stainless is the best......do you have any pics of your 45 side by side to the 9 to compare? Have not seen the 45 in a shop yet and thinking the 45 would complete my collection

I think that picture in Kahrseye's post is his 9 and 45 side by side, unless he got another and didn't bother to tell me. You think he'd do that?

I'd never leave you in the dark Bawanna. But isn't it amazing how close in size those 2 are?

Sorry if I questioned your integrity. Some say I was born in a dark place. Now that I ponder that I think its a safe bet that I was. A whole new meaning to when my daddy told me he was gonna put me back. He loved me after all.
It is amazing how close they are in size. I held what I think was a P at a gun show and I thought it didn't fill my need, too big, prior to getting mine I had never seen or held a PM45 in person. Certainly no regrets.

I can't wait to read your post range report. My first time out with the PM9 was spectacular. You'll be impressed with how accurate the little gun is. It is my EDC gun.:yo:

So I finally had an opportunity to head to the range this morning...Put 150 rounds thru her and it was flawless. Love this little gun, forgot to bring my defense ammo with me to shoot that as well. I would have stayed longer but the hot sun was making the gun hotter by the minute. Took her home and cleaned her up and now she is ready for a few more rounds and some SD ammo to make sure she is ready to go. Kahr has become my new favorite gun, the XD's used to be my favorites, now the 2 Kahrs I have are my new favorite.

exactly, why would I want to carry something that large(even as a sub compact) when I can carry a Kahr. XD's will be come safe queens now.

I've handled both the XD 45 with the 3" barrel and of course my P45, I like the way the grip of the XD fills my paw, but the trigger just broke the deal for me. I got spoiled. I used to say that IF and that was a big IF I ever traded my P45 it would be for an XD 45 with the 3" barrel, then I handled my brothers, and the trigger just broke my heart. I may still get one, but the P45 is home to stay.

It just didn't feel as smooth or nice as my P45. Scott even let me launch a few rounds out of it, but I like the P45's smooth, long but smooth trigger. I have other weapons that have no where near the quality trigger pull on my Kahr, but the XD, just didn't feel right in that regard. I may still get one if I can get the comparison between the P45 and the XD out of my skull. I guess that's where the real issue for me was. I was handling my P45 and that side by side and it was an aplles and oranges kind of deal that was all in my skull. I like the way the XD fits my hand, and the optional full size magazines, and the way it felt while firing, but at the time since we shot both together like that, I just couldn't get over the difference. Like I said probably all in my head, but it stuck.

EXACTLY. After getting a PM9 and then a CW9 the XD9sc was gathering dust on top of the dresser. What to do? I sold it and bought a CW45. Yeeha. I never thought I'd give up the XD9sc, but why not when you can get a .45 dimensionally close to the same but thinner and lighter? I had wondered how I was going to like the DAO trigger, but its proven to be a non-issue. Surprisingly, the CW45 recoil is not much more than the XD9sc and definitely less than the XD45c (longer, taller, heavier) I had a few months ago. No regrets here.

Like my G19. IMO the best semi I have ever owned, but it is my home gun and range gun, nothing else. I ALWAYS pick up my PM9 when I leave the home- ALWAYS. I am sure the XD's are like the Glocks, great guns but once one has a Kahr and the smallness of them, it is jus thar do go backward. They wll all work great, some will shoot better than others in one's hands . I love my G19, I really do but when I go to the range I shootmy PM9 maybe a 100 rounds and my G19 maybe 50, for the G19 just shoots so damn great for me that I see not much improvement. With my PM9, I never shot it great so I am always looking to improve. being it is my defense gun, I want to know it inside and out, which I do.. I am sure that if everyone had a PM9 as good as mine has been out of the box, that they would swear by them. As we know some just don't and that is a same for kahrs are truly a great gun. I make no alibies for them either, but it seems a bigger framed gun like the glocks, sigs smiths rugers etc, seem to be able to get reliable alot faster...Ther ejust is more room in those bigger guns to do some of the things that kahr is squeezing into their small guns..Jsut my 2 cents on this to..

Yupper Mr Jocko, I have XD Compact 45 and an XD 9mm sub compact, both are very good guns but are not as light and as concealable as my two Kahr...not by a long shot. I have both a PM45 and a new PM9 and love them both. The old XD45 stays in the truck and the XD 9mm is a safe queen...pack the kahrs.
