Slide wear from + P ammo

What are your guys thoughts regarding advanced slide wear from + P ammo in a CW45?. Being that the CW45 has a 3.6" barrel, I am considering + P ammo to help keep the velocity up. I was shooting some 230 grain Corbon yesterday and definitely noticed the increased recoil/flash. Over the long term, can the CW45 handle + p ammo? Any thoughts on hollow-point expansion in general from short barrels?

ain't gonna happen, what do u thijnk these slides are made of??? Mudd??? I have yet ever to see any kahr slide worn. It ain't gonna happen. Have u seen that on glocks???? Why would a kahr wear any different than any utter semi???....

U ain't gonna shoot alot of +P ammo unless u have money out ur ass, and then even at that, it makes zero sense to shoot that ammo. 24/7.. The cw45 or for that matter any kahr can handle +P ammo, . Shoot the fokker like u stole it and Merry Christmas.

I'm not totally convinced the +P is doing much better than standard ammo in such a short barrel. Depending on a few factors, the dwell time of the bullet in the barrel may not be letting the powder get up a full head of steam - as evidenced with the extreme flash. BTW, the .45acp in its standard loading, in a 5 inch barrel is noted for having very low to near non-existant muzzle flash. Not sure of all the oomph is getting put into fps of bullet. Also need to remember that decent percentage if recoil is from the ejecta of the muzzle blast.

You know the American theory that if a little is good more is even better? It ain't necessarily so. Two center mass from a .45 will stop most assailants or at least give them pause to reconsider their actions.
