Recoil: 357 vs 44

I own & love to shoot my Desert Eagle in 44 Magnum (XIX).


But the recoil is getting hard on me as I get older and was considering getting a 357 conversion (barrel, bolt, mag). FYI -- I reload for 44 & 357 already.


Before doing so I was hoping that someone who has -- or has fired -- both in a Desert Eagle could provide some feedback as to the relative felt recoil in the Desert Eagle.


I'm already familiar with both in revolvers & levers but the DE is a different type of beast.

I have the .357 Desert Eagle and the recoil is almost nothing. My Glock 29 10mm, recoil is 3-4 times more. I was told the .44 was similar. Only the .50 was the kicker.
