Hi,
I had issues with premature slide lock after every shot with round nose bullets. I cleaned the mags did all the preps polished the slide lock and still had problems. So I called Kahr. They sent me a new spring. The original spring was yellow and had a diameter of 0.002" (0.5mm). The new spring was black and had a diameter of 0.0027" (0.7mm). Now the slide would not even lock back on an empty mag and a new round would not chamber. Any suggestions other than calling Kahr again? I really don't wont to send it off. I have a CW45,CW40 and PM9. All of them run like a charm.
Thank you in advance.

Put the original spring back in the gun. With the slide removed insert a full magazine into the mag well and check to see in the nose of the bullet is contacting the slide stop. If it is carefully remove just enough metal from the slide stop to clear the bullet nose. That should solve the problem.

Thank you for your reply. I did that already. The nose seems to clear, but somehow the bullets slide forward. There is no lubrication in the mags. When I coated the slide stop with permanent marker I clearly could see where the bullet contact the stop.
Just wondering whether Kahr sent me a stronger spring on purpose or accidentally.
Nobody answered the phone today.
Thanks again for your reply

I talked to customer service and was told the spring should be yellow. They sent me a new spring and a slide stop. Awesome service from Kahr.
