I'm surprised Gloque is so low on the list.

Pretty interesting. Wouldn't NOT have guessed quite a few of those. Definitely odd that Glock isn't higher. Hard to believe that. But I'd have gotten Keltec, Sig, and Ruger, maybe Beretta b/c of the military. But the others, really surprised to see them make that list.

Go Kahr!!!

This one is based strictly on production numbers in the US. Only the Glocks manufactured in GA counted toward the ranking. It would be more interesting to see a top 10 list based on numbers sold, but that would mean that someone was keeping track... :blushing:

+1
The numbers are truly skewed.
There are multiple gun manufacturers that produce weapons both in and out of the US.
Glock, Beretta and HK just to name a few...

Is it top ten models or top ten manufacturers?

not sure about the manufactures listings, but there seems to be a definite trend towards smaller concealable handguns bought for personal protection. While Ruger might have made more P89s, id bet money they sold more LCPs, and so forth...

This list tells me nothing about popularity of guns. I think if you want an idea of what the most popular guns are take a look in the cases of your LGS. Chances are they have a good idea of what guns sell the most and stock their inventory accordingly. If your LGS is anything like the ones in my area their inventory is dominated by Glock and M&P.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. They sell what the public wants. The public wants reliable light weight high capacity striker fired polymer semi-auto pistols at an affordable price.
