:Amflag2:my new year`s resolution was to buy American, an American made gun. After roaming around here a bit, i shut down the `puter and went to the kitchen, saw dirty dishes in the sink, yep should wash `em, moseyed into the next room and saw a pile of laundry, yep should wash `em. sat down to put on my shoes and thought about my resolution (first one i made in many years). thought to myself, self its time to fulfill that resolution, so off to the gun store. After fondling half a dozen or so from ria up to colt, here`s what i chose: remington 1911 R1 enhanced.9778

first thing i`ll need is an extended mag release.second thing is i`ll need to dimple and paint the rear sight for a three dot view

First range report: FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE! 120 or so rounds perfect.

Oh my, lest i forget; need to save up for a set of bawanna grips (just because i want `em).

Always thought everyone should have a 1911 they are such a joy to shoot. Nice lookin 1911 there Buzzy, bet if you send the Colonel a real nice PM he’ll have you set up in no time. Enjoy your new gun

My son got himself that same gun for Christmas. It's a sweet gun. He got me the GI which is the model I wanted and it too is real nice. Haven't had a chance to go shoot them yet but their day is coming.

The grips on his enhanced are pretty darn nice, I'll have to put forth a strong effort to improve on them for sure.
