First I've heard of that. Sounds basically like a tupperware T size 45.

I think it's gonna sell very well. I'd personally like a steel T 45 but I'm full of wants ya know?

Not sure what to think of these. The price point is not far from some other full sized 45's that feature dovetailed front sights, swappable backstraps, light/laser rails. It's going to be interesting to see how these do.

more sensible as a tupperware T size .than the P series. there is some nice extra capacity in this gun, even if it is a fokking 45:behindsofa:

I think we will starve to death before we see a steel 45. Just sayin. As u know tupperware is where it is all at. Like it or not. Just sayin

My CW45 is shorter in height and length and weighs 4 ozs less. I'll give up the extra round for the smaller pistol.

Not sure I understand the thinking behind a full size plastic .40 .45 single stack pistol to compete with Glock and M&P in pretty much the same size gun ???...This is just one old farts opinion but I think they should concentrate on the CW and CM line up and spend the time and engineering money they use to bring out a new full size gun on getting the CW/CM's 100% reliable from the factory or as close to 100% as modern manufacturing will allow and sell all of them....

Now again this is just MHO but I think we see too many problem child CW/CM pistols that are shipped out of Worcester with problems that a more meticulous and aggressive quality control department would have caught and fixed before shipping but then have to go back for this or that to get them to shoot right which makes for unhappy first time owners and a bad rep for Kahr...

I would just like for Kahr to concentrate on their money maker nitche market of small CCW pistols, get them as close to 100% as possible from the get go and not waste money and effort bringing out a new single stack full size tupperware pistol that I don't think will sell very well unless they really drop the price......

Now a full size and compact CCW DOUBLE STACK pistol and now we're talking but I aint holding my breath for that one....

Flame suit on!!!.....:behindsofa:

I think the CW series is about their most trouble-free line. I know I've had four CW's and all have been perfect from the first shot. Haven't tried a CM yet, but maybe if the CM45 ever appears. What I really want is a MK45, but as Jocko says, I'm not holding my breath. There are plenty of FS double stacks out there. Why would Kahr leave it's nitche?

"There are plenty of FS double stacks out there. Why would Kahr leave it's nitche" ?

Exactly my point, Kahr's nitche is small pocket size pistols, why bring out a full size pistol to compete with other full size double stack guns with good ergonomics when the new Kahr is down 7-8 rounds from the start and priced at or near the competition....

As for the CW pistols, yes they have been out a while and do seem to behave better new...My CW40 wasn't one of them...It went back once for feed issues and then when I got it back it feed great but the magazine fell out after every shot...In Kahrs defense they did pay for shipping to fix the first issue and sent me a new magazine catch which with the nice folks help from kahrtalk I was able to fix myself and then she was a sweet shooter.....

Yawn...CT45 "now shipping"??? WTF? I'm still waiting to see them ship the CM45 announced last year!

Boy, so far all the new stuff I've heard about has been woefully underwhelming...
A .380 Glock thats bigger then my Kahr 9mm's?, Longer XDS's?, Now a full size Kahr?

jocko

I am still sticking to my thoughts that we will see a double styack, sooner tha later. More than likely in a 9mm first. Have no clue as to why amsayin thaty either, just that even though kahr is known for single stacks, there is no reason not to have souble stacks in their line either. Just sayin

On the surface there really seems to be a disconnect between gun manufacturers and us gun folks.
But there's a segment of the population new to firearms.
That new group seems to be the focus of manufacturers these days.
In the end it's all about business and market share.

.45's need the 4 inch barrel for reliable bullet expansion. Size matters. That said I have a CW45 but sure would like to have the shorter grip with 4"bbl. Colts Sigs Kimbers sweet but $$$.

I see the XDs now comes with a 4" barrel too, for less muzzle flip.

I wonder what is going on with the CM45? CTD says these new CT models will begin shipping in February. Last I ever heard was the CM45 would start shipping in fall of 2013.

From Kahr:

UPDATE ON CW3833 AND CM4543 SHIPMENTS
Due to the unprecedented demand on our entire line of American made “C” series products, the highly anticipated launch of the CW3833 and the CM4543 has been delayed until late fall.
To our valued customers and dealers, we apologize for this delay. Our staff has worked feverishly during the summer months to catch up but demand has continued unabated for our current products and especially the CW and CM series. We have taken this action to formally announce this delay in shipping until late fall. Please revisit our website in the fall for updates on shipping status."

I'm sorry guys, but as I recall a 4in barrel don't make a FULL SIZE pistol:confused:

A full sized pistol has at least a 5in barrel:D Maybe younger folks ain't as strong as they used to be:confused:

Of course I have medical records that prove my brain damage:D:D

I own a CW45 and a CM9 and I bought them both for CCW
Not range guns

I carry the CM9 every single day everywhere I can, it is the smallest and most comfortable. If I am in the house and all hell breaks loose then the 45 comes out or if I am traveling to a hostile area where I know car jacking takes place....or open gun fights...then the 45 comes out.

I haven't checked on the size specs for the new CT45 but if it is any longer or larger in any way than the CW45....I would stick with the CW45...it is all I can do to hide that sucker in a front pocket of blue jeans without it showing....there is no more room left for any larger model 45 as far as I'm concerned....

I love my Kahr's
I actually dropped my CW45 at the range and broke the railing and had to pay Kahr
to replace it and re-smith the whole thing for me...but it is well worth it....I have never
felt another 45acp so small but with a nice full hand grip length. I bought it base solely on "in my hand feel"...the closest other thing would be an XD45 and stock without an extender magazine...it dies one finger too short in length for my grip.

I have been edc my cw45 for about a 1 year. I find it is the most fun handgun to shoot @ the range.
I just ordered a CT45 & I plan to chop it to cw45 frame size.

Softer than my cw45 for the range & more velocity for defence.

No Brainer!

Like the XDs 3.3" evolved to the XDs 4.0"
