I just received my CW380 through a transfer, and my local dealer presented it for inspection in a Kahr factory cardboard box with foam cut-outs for the pistol. The box and foam insert were definitely designed for this pistol. I had seen earlier videos where the CW380 came in the same hard plastic case as the P380. Is Kahr no longer providing the plastic case with the CW380, or was I supposed to receive that separate?

Thanks!

the plastic case was never a for sure item with kahr. I would say the cardboard version is today norm. Just shoot it like u stole it and forget about that. Ihave those fokking plastic cases of utter guns all ove rthe garage. I never return my guns to that plastic box. I realize , some do though..

Thanks, Jocko. I figured that was likely the new norm. As long as this proves reliable, I'll likely have it in my pocket from now on. Looking forward to breaking it in with live fire instead of exercising with it on the couch. ;)

I received my CW380 in the cardboard box, also. Pretty much same as my CM9.

It was raining this morning, but I stood on the porch and ran a couple of magazines of round nose FMJ Federal range ammo through it, taking out some cans I pitched out in the front yard (live in rural area), and it performed flawlessly. So far, so good. Handles amazingly well for such a small pistol and was surprised by how accurate it shoots if I did my part. If it keeps running like this, I won't be needing any plastic case. :) Thanks all for your box input.

I'm fairly certain that Kahr is now only providing the plastic case for the more expensive versions. All of the lower cost models will be shipped in cardboard boxes.

Seems Sig is following that on some of their guns as well. My 238 came in a cardboard box

For what Sig's cost, they should be gold lined cardboard boxeshttp://kahrtalk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Depends on gun. Some folks say that about certain Kahrs. The P380 is in same neighborhood of the 238

Berettabone,

The .380 is the most effective defensive round according to the latest research. It was put up against fists, baseball bats, tire irons, and even krav maga, and in every case, it handily beat them all. :behindsofa:

Live fire is always better than exercising with it on the couch, You could go blind and grow hair on your palms.....

I don't even know what that means....:p
