Spare magazine (cw9)

I carry one or two spare magazines (cw9) in my front jean pockets and I always have a couple of rounds come out of the magazine. I also carry spare magazines for the S&W 4046 and a S&W 5943 in the same manner with no problems . Anyone have this problem ? The mags are carried this way for concealment purpose and quick reloading .

I have the same problem. I carry a spare magazine in a jacket pocket in. Cooler weather and use a leather magazine carrier in hot weather. You can use an Uncle Mike's to carry in a pocket, but I hate to give up a jean pocket for a magazine. If anyone has a fix please post your solution.

I don't carry a spare mag. I carry a spare gun. You might try buying a kydex magazine holder that clips onto your belt from PJ Holster.

also, there's a guy on eBay that sells magazine pouches (belt) for the CW9 cheap with free shipping. They work great.

I have the Kydex and it works well. I carry the spare mags in my left front pocket. Just curious why the rounds come out of the mags when carried loose . I've tried different ammo, now carrying Hornady critical duty/defense with the same problem. The CW 9 is really a fine pistol, my favorite carry . I also use the Uncle Mike's pouch, http://www.unclemikes.com/holsters/belt-pouches/gun-pak-belt-pouch
and found loose rounds in the small accessory compartment.

I work on the road and and toss my 3 spare mags in my back pack. I have never had any rounds fall out.. Maybe pants pockets cause my strain on the mag idk. When I go out and carry a spare mag I use a Bravo Concealment kydex holster on my weak side. I don't like things in my pockets so I guess i can't help.

Check out KT mech and pick up a kydex mag holster. You will be happy you did.

A mag pouch works great. I always use one just for the simple reason that I don't want the rounds loose in my pocket when I need a spare mag. Seems like a simple solution.

Mitchell of Tactical Kydex on GlockTalk makes terrific magazine holders for low prices and quick included shipping. I've probably bought 60 to 70 holdrs from him. Every time I get a new pistol I get an assortment for it, but prefer the OWB weak side... singles and doubles:

I can vouch for Beardog wholeheartedly. He made me a clip on single pouch and I've worn it nearly every day since. Been awhile now and it looks like the day he made it.

Some folks have had success tweaking the feed lips on the magazine so they are more parallel. Sometimes they are more open towards the front and don't hold the cartridge well enough.

The mag pouch prevents that.

I ordered a leather pouch from Beardog, he had exactly what I needed, a pouch without the belt clip and a device that holds the pouch in your pocket when removing the magazine .

I carry the CW9 as my primary duty handgun with a city marshal's office in Louisiana. I'm retired from LE w/33 yrs of service in 2005, tried retirement for four years and returned to work in 2009. I'm planning on working two more years, this will give me 40 years full time. I'm basically just a "process server", serving legal documents, summons for court, evictions, warrants etc. plus courtroom security one day a week. I'm one of several LE retired "ole farts" working for this agency. We do have a traffic division with young, smart, physically fit people. lol
