I have only put a few rounds through my CM9, and have dry fired it quite a bit just practicing, but last night when I went to dry fire it there was a delay in the trigger. Pull the trigger all the way back until it stops, wait, and fire. I dont understand why its doing this, wasnt like this when I bought it. Any insight on this? Am I going to have to send it back to Kahr?

Here's a link to a recent thread of the same issue. Take it down and clean/lube it well and see if that solves it as it did for the other issue. Something is getting hung up in the trigger bar-cocking cam arena ... but it is all solid linkage, so I still am of the opinion that the striker channel is dirty and hanging up.

The sear should release well before the trigger contacts the frame. Approximately 3/8" before contact. You have a trigger bar problem and your gun should be sent back to Kahr.

Muggsy is probably right, but why not take the slide aprt qnd take the striker out of the channel and clean it to be sure there is no crud in there. More than likely something in the trigger group has went south. A call to kahr will get u a prepair pickup..

easy to test striker, just drop a pencil (eraser end first) down into the barrel and pull the trigger. It SHOULD shoot the pencil out into the air!!

I called Kahr, they are sending me a shipping label so I can send the gun back to them.

Experience from other users....should i worry about this happening again?

^^ Valid point. Now that I am out of a EDC I am itching at buying another one. Not a good itch to have when you are trying to save money.

Well the next question would be what would be my next one? I do like and want eventually a Glock 23, but not very EDC material. XDS? Another Kahr? K9. So many good options. :)

edit: my choice would be MK9, or K9. Too bad they are hard to come by and expensive.

I have an MK9 and love it...........when you said Glock, you lost mehttp://kahrtalk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif More Kahr options, also Beretta, Sig, HK, maybe a revolver? That's the problem with firearms, they're just like Lays..........can't have just one.

Glock isnt my first choice, but they do make a good firearm, and with the accessory market the way it is for those things, its hard to justify not getting at least one. I guess here goes my search for an MK9 for a decent price.

Well got my kahr back from factory today good as new! Need to take it to the range and finish breaking it in. Only took 8 days, a lot faster than I expected.

8 days! That was quite a turnaround, especially when considering the snow storms. It took me longer to get an order from Midway and they shipped the same day I ordered. Let us know how the gun is now.

More evidence that Kahr has recently taken steps to improve customer service. That's good news for all of us.

Haha well about that....I did actually buy another gun, I just don't have it yet. Kahr was ALOT faster than I expected. I wanted another carry gun in my rotation. Ended up buying one of the guns I have always wanted for a freakin steal! Walther pps 9mm brand new for $400 bucks. So now I just have to wait until it gets here.
About the trigger, feels awesome now with the expected kahr trigger. I give an update when I shoot it, probably when I get my PPS and break that in too.
