Just bought a cw45 the other day. After joining this forum and reading proper prep procedure ( say that 3 times fast).... I think im gonna go to the range tomorrow provided it isn't too cold. I also ordered a set of talon grips for it (I know, I know shoot the damn thing to see if you need them blah blah lol) I had a set on a glock 30 I had and loved it. So yeah new member here just saying hi and passing a boring Saturday night.. :amflag:

Welcome to the forum. I really like my CW45. It's a nice shooter for it's size. Let us know how it goes and if you have any questions just ask. FYI it smooth out really nice after a couple hundred rounds too.

I'm sorry to say that aside from learning Jocko's animal husbandry techniques there isn't much of interest on this forum. Yeah, the guys are reasonably good at curing Kahr ills and there are the usual sexual innuendos, but other than that it's only a lot of boring gun talk. If you can put up the the moderator's constant harassing it isn't a bad place to spend an hour or three. Welcome aboard.

Welcome to KahrTalk!
I absolutely LOVE my PM45. I'm willing to bet that you will be pleasantly surprised at the low recoil (for a .45 ACP) from a Kahr .45 pistol.
As Jocko loves to say, "Shoot it like you stole it..." And give us a range report. If you have any issues to work out, the knowledge-base on this board is amazing.

I'm not part of the knowledge-base referenced above ... but I am part of the welcome committee ... so welcome!

I kind of like the thought of being a "reprobate geezer."

Thanks for all the welcomes. I haven't made it to the range yet but I will come hell or high water this weekend.

So, went to the range today after doing the necessary prep work to my cw45 and it runs...... drumroll please.... amazingly. This gun is an amazing piece of work. Not only is the recoil almost not existent, but the sights are spot on. Although, I will admit that the "dot the i" sights are a little difficult to get used to for the first few rounds. I'm gonna assume the prep is what made the gun cycle as well as it did but I fed it 230gr fmj cheap federal champion ammo and it ran exactly as it was supposed to. Not a single hang up, FTF, FTE, nothing. Just point, aim , and bang. Great gun... will be adding a cw40 and maybe even a cw9 to my collection. Guess I'm a convert to the kahr kult.

Glad to your first outing went so well. The problem with Kahrs is when they're good they're very very ... yawn ... excuse me ... where was I? Seriously though ... if you want to fully appreciate the Kahr line-up you have to try one of the all-metal ones.
